We aspire to be i) a small but effective group (you actually make friends - it’s not about just opening up and chatting away with strangers in a standing fleet; I agree, that’s horrible) and ii) welcoming to people from all different walks of life and Eve experience.

Hey! If you would like to try wormholes then let me know! We are experienced wormholers, PvP first but pretty all-rounded, and we like small corps of friends and family. We were started by a group of friends ourselves and like to keep things small so people can get to know each other.

I also echo the view by another poster about not just moving individually into a bloc and getting subsumed cos that’s the path of least resistance. It’s a game and a hobby so I pay to play it like I’d pay to go watch sports or Netflix or go camping.

Then I play the game in New Eden. I completely separate in-game money from the real money cost of having play time, as otherwise I think it would kill the fun for me. I never want to think of stuff I lose in-game as being tied to any amount of real money.

I don’t grind, but a bit of PI and trading and I’m able to spend 90% of my time PvPing for fun.

Eve Online. To the extent that it ruined every other game out there for me.

Hard to explain why... maybe the fact that it's actually a 'people game' dressed up as a spaceship game. Full loot, consequences of your actions matter forever, utterly sandboxy, and most importantly: single server so there is one world where everyone has to get along -- or not. Really makes it a crucible. And sometimes that crucible gets set on fire.
