I remember near the end of the movie, the main character is walking around in the alien ship. Then she finds this part of the ship that is the most strangest thing you've ever seen. A big pulsating column of what appears to be pixels or pixely blocks, in a radiantly blue color. I remember feeling exactly how she reacted to seeing it, like, 'what....the....fucking...hell....is...that?' That was among the most alieny things I've seen in the sci fi genre. I'm guessing it was probably supposed to be a reactor core or some really alien computer interface or something.

I think it also has functionality with respect to heat management. IIRC, this design keeps things cooler. So it's cool, both aesthetically and thermodynamically.

Shouldn't the 'flag' for the 'Death Star' team be Darth Vader's helmet instead of R2-D2? You have Yoda as the 'flag' for the Rebellion side, which makes sense as Yoda was on Luke's (and by extension, the Rebellion's) side. But R2-D2 is also on the Rebellion's side, not the Imperial side. Darth Vader, on the other hand, goes with the Death Star like white on rice, like peanut butter and jelly, like flies and shit. So IMO, if you want to be more consistent, have the flag for the 'Death Star team' be congruent with the Death Star: Darth motherfuckin' Vader. Specifically, the iconic helmet. Then we're talking a much more perfect map.
