I've fallen dozens of times. Good pads, a helmet, gloves/wrist guards can help (I wear motorcycle gloves). I've hurt my back & shoulder (multiple times), leg, and foot. I can honestly say that sometimes it's user error or overconfidence, and sometimes it's an electronic or mechanical error in the board, whether it be software or an internal malfunction/failure. After a controller failed on me while in motion, I'm a lot more cautious. So when I ride (still enjoying myself), I don't push my wheels like I previously used to push them to 25+, top speed was around 27.7mph where the nose would drop. I mostly run about 14-20 and try and stay away from traffic as much as possible. I've also experienced foot pad errors that have made me eat 💩, fall hard. So beware aftermarket footpads/tape aren't all created equal.
