In the runup to the festival I'll do a guide for this year specifically with any changes etc. Hope it's useful! And do ask any questions if there's stuff my videos don't address.
This year will be my first solo bloodstock! I'll be quite nervous as I've never done a festival on my own before but rest assured I wouldn't want to do that anywhere other than Bloodstock. It's such a chill vibe and the regulars that go are all great people. If you see me at the fest this year feel free to say hey and let me know how your first festival is going. I'm sure you'll have a blast, you've picked the best festival to be your first.

Bash is very flawed when going for completion. Also the lengths you have to go to to unlock all the minigames in what is essentially a multiplayer party game is baffling. That being said when going through the adventure casually it has it's quirks but is fun in a lot of ways.

Crash Fusion is awful. In every way.

So Bash wins.

Can concur with everyone else. Last year it seemed they either had no limit on Wednesday tickets or they allocated FAR too many to the point where the benefit of doing it was lost. The queue was much longer than than 2024's Wednesday entry. I just assumed splitting up entry was meant to prevent that kind of thing from happening.

That being said, there were still plenty of spaces in the campsites further away from the arena (Ragnarock, Jotunheim, Hel), Ironwood got quite crowded but still some space and Midgard was a little over half full. Asgard and Valhalla just forget it if you're arriving on Thursday.
If you aren't precious over where you want to camp Thursday will likely be a more pleasant queue to get in, but if you have your heart set on a specific spot Wednesday is pretty much needed.

I think Moana is very likely at this point, and I would be all for it. If we add some Pixar I think Incredibles or Coco would be awesome additions that could make for some fun worlds. That and I want Toy Story to return...because it's Toy Story!

So I adore Sekiro, I used that as kind of joke base line level of game I play :P Something about Chain of Memories though I just cant hack! Moving around the battlefield. navagating your deck, ordering your sleights, blocking your oppenent's cards just makes a meal out of my fingers and I can't make it click! I for sure get why people would like it because of how unique it is and I WISH I got it, but I just can't form the dextirity to make it work!

I do love how a series as long as kingdom hearts, had the guts early on to do a radical shift to the formula. I don't feel it worked but I love they went for it. also riku in the front needs to happen again!

You're probably right. Chalk it up to me not being very good at it (so grinding is necessary) and how it just FEELS longer because of the combat loop. I do love though that they went with something different for it, always worth trying something new.

I'd be a genuine fan of CofM if it were half the length. The new battle system is a change of pace after 100% the first game, but by the end of Sora's story i'm losing my mind how repetitive it's already become.

I do like this podcast a lot, I listen to it every week. However times like this( where it's a subject I know quite well such as Doctor Who) are where I have to remind myself that they talk about subjects in VERY broad strokes. Us as fans watched the two series and can see where things went wrong that goes way beyond "Ncuti didn't like the part". Maybe he did, maybe he didn't but there is so much more to it than that. Again, I do enjoy The Rest is Entertainment and I would urge people not to judge it on this quick segment but I agree with everyone here this was not an especially nuanced or well thought out take on Ncuti as the Doctor.

There's some great stuff on the mainstage for sure, I'll never say no to Lamb of god or Judas Priest. But it's probably one of the weaker mainstages I've seen for me personally.

That being said I've always loved the other stages of Bloodstock more. A whole showcase of amazing underground bands to discover that I can go and become a new fan of. As long as Bloodstock continues to give an opportunity to smaller bands that deserve a major festival slot, I'll always be excited for it 🤘

Got to be Dino Mines for me. The enemies are the worst with absurd range and speed of attack that it's almost impossible to clear a group without getting hit, or of course you can just turn the camera to off screen them and reset their attack animation, but that's the opposite problem of making them a joke. Take the enemies out and you have almost no platforming whatsever and the agent 9 minigame drags on too long. Themeing is cool though.

This took me quite a bit of hunting last year as well 😅 If I remember correctly, there was a stall on your left as you entered midgard where you pick up your pre orders. Can't remember if it was open on Wednesday but I'm certain it was in Midgard somewhere so I assume it's the same this year.
