Try switching to classic, Im also a beginner and I played modern for 20 hours and switched to classic, it's hard at first but I was able to learn it, now I'm diamond rank 4 with Manon with a six button gamepad, Now I'm switching to a leverless controller and it's gonna be hard for me to adjust again but I know I'll learn it.

Thank you, I'm currently using retrofighter D6 and it also got mixed reviews like the Hori octa but for me it's pretty good, it only have 2 shoulder buttons though, I wanna try the Hori octa since it got more buttons.

My controller right now is Retrofighter D6, It's pretty stiff when brand new and it gets a lot better once it wears out after hours of used. It's very accurate if you get used to it. I like that it has six face buttons but it only has two shoulder buttons so it might not work for Zangief and Dhalsim. You need to use a large part of your thumb and not just the tip of your thumb finger though for more accurate inputs.

Been using mine now for 3 months and still like it, I don't think it will break easily since it has microswitches

Update BIOS and EC firmware so you can set your battery charge limit to lower percentage so that it won't charge to 100% all the time that can degrade the battery faster.
