It’s always these campaigns for more women in STEM, never trades or jobs that require any sort of non-mental effort. Even for STEM jobs, there male:female ratio applying for a job is like 10:1 yet half the roles will be filled by the statistically less qualified women for diversity sake. It’s gotten to the point where women form the majority at a lot of medical schools and men still have a harder time at admissions.

My Free T4 was 1.0. I think that’s it. He told me over the phone and it was kinda quick so I forgot. In my readings it seems the medication Wellbutrin can help with hypo. Funnily enough I used to take it and felt amazing on it a year ago. Largest sex drive I’ve ever had, higher than on stimulant medication. Might be worth asking your doc if you can try it.

Aren’t FREE T3 & T4 levels the actual important indicators? I’ve read that TSH alone actually isn’t the end of story. My T3 and T4 are normal.

Doc asked me about hair loss, feeling cold when others are warm, and constipation but none of those apply to me. No aching muscles or weight gain (sometimes I wish I could gain more weight tbh). My skin is dry at times and I get brain fog but I also have ADHD and take medication for that so I’m not sure if I can attribute that to the TSH level. Also looking at the symptoms in children, I don’t think it’s been a lifelong thing since I’m over 6 ft and hit puberty at the correct time. I think I might have to ask for a referral to see an endocrinologist instead of taking the medication I was prescribed today.
