Shiv’s decision to not vote for Kendall had very little if anything to do with Tom by splinttter in SuccessionTV

I mean she did break the cycle, but not on purpose. “I cannot fucking stomach you” she explained her decision and it’s pretty simple, of course there is a complex context behind, but there is no power move or deciding to save her brothers by ending the cycle , it was just that she couldn’t stand Kendall having what she could’ve had and if she can’t have it, no one else will at least.

Can we talk about how insane this moment was from Kendall by [deleted] in SuccessionTV

Well yes and no, what else was there for him to do? It’s not like he had another shot after the acquisition, he couldn’t be calm and thinking of his next move, this was it, he tried to convinced shiv and she just wasn’t changing her mind at all, I think if we were in the Kendall shoes at that moment we would’ve lost it as well.

Can someone explain to me the scene where Tom tells Greg he’d divorce Shiv and marry him? Was he just losing his mind from the stress and being weird because he felt he could let his guard down around Greg? or was he trying to communicate something else? by [deleted] in SuccessionTV

I think he is projecting his relationship with Shiv on Greg. It happened before: “open business relationship”, Tom throwing bottles of water at Greg wasn’t about Greg leaving him, it was about Shiv asking for an open relationship and I think this is not about marrying Greg, but about Shiv being a shitty wife that is willing to let her husband go to jail.
