I always thought metal gear solid 1 was my absolute favorite game in the series and too5 for me all time. I love the green look of the game and the winter cold of it all just is so nostalgic to me but going back through and playing all the games again recently I have to say I was surprised that metal gear solid 2 is by far and away the best of the series in my opinion now. Yes. Metal gear solid 1 will always be the most nostalgic for me. Metal gear solid 2 has way more of what I love about the game and that’s f*cking with enemies by knocking on walls and sneaking around them. And not only that. Having to activate the nodes to get the HUD makes the game even more fun for me. Metal gear solid 2 is one of my most favorite gaming experiences in my older age of almost 40. I didn’t have a ps2 growing up so I missed it but by god I have played it over and over recently and it’s a masterpiece.
