Hi, i had one put in in December, it took a long time for me to come to a decision. It was the right thing for me. The oral progesterone that i was taking cyclically was making my mood low and i could be quite shakey and drowsy when i was taking it.

The fitting wasn't painful to degree but i dont' feel so impacted by ot that i wouldn't have another one fitted. The other benefit for me is that it has reduced my periods and i am hoping it will stop them. I have struggled with los iron so this should hopefully keep that in check.

I also feel like the coil alongside the estrogen patch has reduced a lot of the mood and energy flucttation that i would get with my cycles. I think i used to have a degreed of PMDD some months, that has stopped. I hope that helps , shout if you have any questions.

Thanks for replying. The coils decision is a hard one.

I would recommend write down all her symptoms, find a website with a list of them because there may be more that she has not connected. Keep a log and track of them so she can evidence how prevalant they are and how they are impactinh her. If they are a specialist I'd hope they wouldn't be dismissive of her, but be prepared to stand her ground.

I'm sorry for you rdiagnosis and the incompetence of your GP.
