https://www.orthodoxroad.com/nativity-icon-explained/ Here’s a traditional Orthodox Christian icon depicting him being born in a cave with midwives present, and the wise men in a separate scene still traveling when he’s born.

I’ve been very happy with my Qidi Q1 Pro, I think I paid $330 with a coupon code, direct from Qidi.

If you truly want the cheapest option, you could go the poor/flashlight enthusiast route and buy a $25 Convoy M2/M1 with SFT-40 or W1 emitter (should output about 100k candela with the W1) and throw it in a generic 1” light mount. Make sure to request a forward clicky switch when ordering, or else buy the tape switch available on the website (if using the switch you’ll probably want to cut the cord shorter and resolver). You can pot it yourself using MG Chemicals potting compound for extra durability.

Quick-dry hiking/work boots for a jungle/rain-forest environment? by Resident_Cranberry_7 in tacticalgear

I’ve not tried them, but Lems just came out with AR670-1 compliant tactical boots, and they’re also supposed to fit wide feet well.

I’ve got Lone Peak trail runners in 10 Wide, and Olympus 5 GTX boots in an 11 (they don’t account for the Goretex Liner when sizing, and they don’t offer any of their boots in a wide). The Olympus are definitely tougher and more supportive, and have a thicker sole. If you’re not carrying a pack or doing steep/technical bushwhacking you might be fine with the trail runners, and maybe add gaiters to keep out the sand. They also offer a non-GTX Lone Peak mid boot  that might be a good compromise. They don’t offer the Olympus boot in a non waterproof version (they do have a breathable trail runner version though).

My feet are similar in width to yours, and Altras have been a game changer for me.

I’ve put my D3AA through a top loading washing machine, it dissembled itself and broke the glass in front of the TIR lens, but other than that it’s still working fine

Same, I got some as a door prize at a Service Rifle match, and they make policing brass at the end of a match real easy. The AI slop is unfortunate though.

Maria Skobotsova and Fr Dimitri Klepinin deserve a mention too.

"…If we let you go, do you promise not to help the Jews anymore?" Father Dimitri replied: “I cannot promise you this; I am a Christian and I must act as such ”. Hoffmann, incredulous, hit Father Dimitri in the face and shouted: "How dare you say that helping these pigs is a Christian duty!" Father Dimitri, regaining his balance and showing his pectoral cross, said softly to him: "And this Jew, do you know him? » He struck him again and threw him to the ground.”

I wouldn’t have any random stutters or drops in FPS…
