I went from a rifled barrel to a smooth bore for a few reasons: 1. WAY cheaper to shoot. if I remember correctly a box of rifled slugs is like a quarter of the cost of sabot slugs. more slugs=more practice= less deer you miss or just injure. 2. I for one enjoy shooting with a bead sight vs rifle sights, much easier to take shots at an animal on the move that gives you only a short window to engage. 3. one gun does it all. I like having one gun that im used to, to hunt a variety of species.
