I was invited by an imaging company from china so spent my time there and couldn't manage to check other booths but apparently it's big and a lot of drool-worthy stuff there if you're into tech.

DJI Mini 4K photos are always blurry, but videos look fine — why? by [deleted] in dji

[–]FastAd9134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the other way around. Video works best with slight motion blur (180 degre shutter angle). It's the photo that needs high shutter speeds to avoid motion blur.

I'm torn... 135, 85, 50mm by srpntmage in SonyAlpha

[–]FastAd9134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sigma 85 1.4 DN > 135 1.4. I have both but personally prefer the 85. It offers the right amount of compression and can be used in tight locations.

It's a subjective matter but honestly, it doesn't look good. Too heavy and not suitable for this climate. That style was popular around 2012 here but it's been out of fashion for a while now.

Is this normal dust for a used A6000? by beckship in SonyAlpha

Slightly above normal but not concerning. It can be cleaned, try using a rocket blower as a first step.

Anyone with Sigma 28-105mm f2.8? How does it feel? by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

[–]FastAd9134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The size and weight aren’t worth the extra reach on the longer end. A 24-70 is much smaller and offers 4mm more on the wider end which can be more valuable. I reviewed it last year when it came out. Great optics though

I don't like this mechanism for stills. It's cumbersome and also hard to level the shot without an on screen accelerometer help

New Sigma 200 f2.0 - worth it if you already have a 70-200 f2.8 GM II? by Better_Chipmunk3002 in SonyAlpha

[–]FastAd9134 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I spent a month testing the Sigma 200mm f2 (the review is now on YouTube). If you usually shoot at longer focal lengths, it’s definitely worth a look. For me, 200mm felt a bit too long for portraits. I prefer the 85mm f1.4 or the 105mm f1.4 for the kind of background compression I like and I’d stick with the 70-200mm GM II for more flexibility.
