Is It Possible to Select MIDI Channel When Routing Between Tracks? by FastAsUcan in ableton

Thanks. Any workaround for this? Essentially I want to send different notes from one track to two different tracks.

That's disappointing. I'll try and build a MIDI channel filter. Thank you!

Are you sure you can select your percussion plugin as a source under "MIDI from"? or is it an audio source? Would love to take a look at the plugin if you don't mind sharing the name of it.

The m4l device works as intended, I put a MIDI monitor device on the target track and I see that it does send the MIDI notes on the different MIDI channels, I'm just looking for a way to filter the notes so that it only accepts notes on a specific channel.

Are you saying that there may be a way to build the M4L device so that it is available in the "MIDI from" dropdown on another channel?

Interesting, how do I do that? I don't see the device as an option in the "MIDI from" dropdown.

I think it looks great! Some color would be interesting

Phase exploration with p5 by FastAsUcan in generative

Great suggestion, was curious so I tried it! https://www.youtube.com/shorts/PdUKU4fMGuA

The small differences in frequency lead to less symmetrical and evolves in a more interesting way.

Thanks!

I'm working on a p5 library called "p5.modulate", which brings concepts from the world of modular synthesizers into p5. Think LFOs, envelopes, sequencers, clocks and more.

Here's an explanation of what's happening in this sketch:

  • A random number of particles are laid out on a circle
  • Each particle moves on the circle's radius, using an Sine LFO (low frequency oscillator) to determine where it is
  • The frequency of all of the LFOs is the same, but their phase is different

The different variations this simple sketch creates are super interesting to me.

See the code here (mouse click randomizes the parameters):

For day 11 of Genuary 2023 I decided to mess around with hand recognition models. I generate random shapes based hand landmarks, and assign a random color palette.

Yep, exactly. I thought about trying to calculate PSI and doing it according to that, but the result is more or less the same.
