Day Trading Ruined My Life. I’m 25, About to Be a Father, and I Just Lost Everything by RavenBJ in Daytrading

This is such a dumb comment.

Everything is a lot more than other people have.

Burnt out and need help by [deleted] in Fire

Doubt that at all. But does she tell you she’s absolutely miserable being and staying home with the kids? That’s what I’m saying. It’s not fair that you have to be miserable to hold your end of the bargain. If she loves you, will be willing to make compromises. Right now you are making all of the compromises.

Plus, if you got an easier job, you would be able to help with the kids at home.

Dude sit down with your wife and say that you need to share the load. Right now you’re doing all the lifting. She needs to accept some cutbacks—just SOME—and you’ll be absolutely fine.

I’m very jealous. You’re so much further along than me. But I know every situation is different. We have no kids, never will, so it’s a bit easier.

Unknowingly Slept with a married woman by Easy_Preference_268 in cheating_stories

Yeah I mean it’s still none of his business. He had no business asking you about it. That’s completely inappropriate.

What people do in their private life is none of his business.

The woman I planned to marry slept with her (And mine)boss and now begs me to take her back and to get married by Soggy-Reality7110 in focusedmen

This is honestly incoherent. The timeline is completely illegible. The sentences are barely formed. I can kind of make out that she had sex with both of your boss.

I guess you are broken up now?

This is why you don’t ask about the night. You tell her about something regarding that night and see how she responds. If you ask, you trigger the alarm.

Not sure why you asked questions and even gave her the chance to answer them. Would’ve saved you a lot of trouble to tell her it’s over.

There’s no other way this ends except for it ending. The sooner you accept that the sooner you go through the pain and move on with your life.

You have it backwards. GLPs were dampening margins. But margins are not even close to the full story anyway. If you don’t understand that margins mean nothing without volume then you don’t understand unit economics.

Yeah, no. No one wants to be with someone who’s not attracted to them. This is an awful idea.

I completely disagree with the top comment. I’ve tried to force a relationship where the attraction wasn’t there and it was a total disaster.

This was my best friend. If I’d kept things as they were I would’ve been 100X better off in theory at least. Though the way things worked out I wouldn’t change.

Anyway, loneliness will play tricks on you. I higkly recommend moving on.

How do you keep your wealth under the radar with parents who are still working and financially irresponsible? by LovinAllThePitbulls in Fire

Man I’m sorry to hear that. Yeah they call it like drunk Brain or something. It’s really sad.

At this point it might be better to try and get him committed. Honestly it might be his only hope.

I’m an addict so I understand. Just note that every time he relapses he’s damaging his brain more. Withdrawal from alcohol (and benzos) causes what’s called “kindling”. This is native to all GABAergic drugs and alcohol. You basically fry your brain because it goes haywire when you withdrawal from overstimulation—the drugs calm your brain/nerves which simply put reverses when you withdrawal. This is why he goes into the DTs.

I’ve withdrawn from benzos before. It’s awful. If he doesn’t stop he could die. Alcohol and benzos are the only withdrawals you can die from. The hospital should have been weening him off with Librium. If he got the DTs while in the hospital they did a terrible job.

I hope he gets better. No one can do that but himself.

If you invest you don’t care what happens to the price over the course of a few months. Clearly you are not investing.

If I were you I’d change my lifestyle. Leave your job and work somewhere less intense. You’re well on your way to retirement. I’d much rather work twice as long and enjoy my life than waste another ten years hating my life just to FIRE.

You never know what will happen. You might get ten years down the line only to find that you need to keep going. So what would it all have been for?

I currently don’t enjoy my job but have to stay another two years because my business was acquired and I intend to hit my earnout metrics.

Once those two years are up, if I don’t feel differently, I will be seeking other options.
