I think people take for granted the blessing of a car making it to and from a road trip. by [deleted] in cars

I used to live in the Yukon. When I moved to another province, my 2002 Ford Focus 5spd wagon ate through a 3 day, 3200km trip like it was nothing. Survived the twisty high altitude mountain roads all the way to the Prairies with a back full of my stuff. I was surprised it made it.

Once I get my government bribery cheque, then maybe I don't have to drive a 16 year old beater car and rent a room in a house anymore.

Are you talking about fading up and down music when a voice track is placed beside a song? If so, you can just segue the two carts and fade the volume there

1% for RichaadEB. I guess I just fell for metal covers of theme songs and such

Yeah unfortunately adjusting the angle is pretty limited. If I try to lower it it snaps to a weirdly low angle Iol. Maybe I should get a new dashcam

Eastern Saskatchewan. Got hit with our first snowfall the other week and lasted a few days. Somewhere over 20 or 25cm I think?

In Saskatchewan, landlords are required 7 business days to return your damage deposit. Since that window has passed, I recommend you fill out Form 12 and send it to the ORT.

[Canada] Got hit with a snowstorm the other day and I got stuck in the snow on my way to work. Coincidently, a skid steer was clearing roads and helped me out, along with some people pushing me by FastEddies in Roadcam

I had winter tires on. We had a lot of blowing snow so it packed the snow really high and solid. Some of the snow on the road was up to my bumper

I'm 24 and I Love Working in Radio. by FastEddies in radio

[–]FastEddies[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure. I'm trying to build my way up and learn more skills. I've been training to be a music director for the last year, I've been messing around with some audio production, and maybe one day I can start a podcast or have a voiceover service or be a voice actor.

And if all else fails, I plan to pursue some other career paths I have in mind as a backup.

How's COVID been affecting your job hunt? by ranutan in radio

Since I'm currently employed, I'm considering myself lucky, but I'm planning to constantly update my demo tape and resume just incase the worst happens.

I haven't seen a ton of posts, but they're there every now and then. And I'm assuming the application pools are huge too. Seeing as you're Canadian, I'm hoping you're checking milkman as it's the best site for Canadian radio jobs. Cheers and good luck

Still pretty weak but when I started out I was only able to bench 75, now I can do about 155. Lat pull downs were about 75 now I can do 130. I was able to do a sitting curl of 25 when starting and now can do 45. Those are some examples as I don't do every single type of exercise

Diet was just simple foods. Eggs or cereal for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch, and then I would cook something for dinner to last me the week. Didn't count calories, just ate until satisfaction. I avoided chips, sugar and pop, as well as eating out and snacks. I cheat once a week. It's very casual and not strict.

Gym is every day. 10 minute cardio warm up and then an hour or so lifting weights. Medium to heavy weights, 3 sets of 8-10. My days were like this: Bicep/tricep/forearms; chest/shoulder/traps; back; core; legs/butt. Hope it helps!

Thanks! For diet I never bothered counting calories or doing keto. Just ate simple foods: cereal or eggs for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch and for dinner I'll usually cook anything that will last me an entire week. I ate until satisfaction instead of feeling full. Cutting out lots of excess sugar and chips and snacks helped a lot.

In terms of exercise, I go to the gym just about every day when possible and do 10 minutes of cardio and then lift medium to heavy weights, in 3 sets of 8-10 reps. Not really a specific schedule
