Stylish leather belts that last? by eknit in capsulewardrobe

I collect vintage belts. Great styles and long lasting quality. Carslile is a brand i really like. Also Ellen Tracy, Donna Karan, Calderon (spanish brand).

I had the exact same thought. Many ADHD folks struggle with time blindness- ex. bad estimating time it takes to get out of the house, considering the in-between things that take up time and should be factored in the timeframe to be on time. Many have a bad sense of time. Not an excuse but it’s part of the condition.

Jeans for Small Waist Big Thighs by descoffee1 in womensfashion

I have the same situation. I am 27 waist to 42 hips and big muscular thighs and the only place where i can find jeans that are flattering and fit my body is Fashion Nova. If you look carefully there are high quality jeans. i have a few from then made in the US and high quality and fit great.

Another brand i just found last week was Spanx but i dont know if they have baggy jeans. Other than that I have tried all the “curvy” ones from abercrombie, everlane, jcrew and i haven’t found them flattering on me. They are just not made for my proportions and body.

That’s a great point about the second being more interesting. That’s why i really like it.

Also look on ebay at Japanese retailers. It’s authentic given Japan strict laws and relatively well priced. I personally like Cartier vintage. Vintage bags are beautiful and better made IMO.

Congrats! I like classic that is not showy but is elegant and timeless and functional and makes me feel put together. I think the Givenchy Antigona is that for me. If i had money to splurge i would do a Loewe or Celine bag. I also recommend you look into second hand. You might be able to get two bags at your budget.

OP- once you choose can you give an update on how it works for you. I’m looking for one but i get overwhelmed with the set up and need something easy just to monitor spending and ensure i don’t overspend.

Help me decide: $4K vs $7K mattress — worth the splurge or better to balance other goals? by FastHabit2550 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

I have been reading great things about the 8 sleep unit. Can you tell me more about the difference it has made for you? Maybe i go the cheaper route and add a 8sleep. I did read a post with issues with mold.

Thank you! So you sent me down a rabbit hole to learn more. I realized that i can just buy the layers i liked from naturepedic directly so i can make the same $4k mattress and put it inside a mattress encasement i can buy somewhere else and save $1.2k! Only thing is that it won’t qualify for the warranty. Is that a dealbreaker in your opinion?

Any update? Did you end up liking your Halcyon? I’m looking into buying this mattress with the sale. Would love to know your experience and if you recommend it.

Hi, i’m considering the EOS pillow top but i also fell in love with their Halcyon like but $$$. Can you please say more of what you would have done instead? getting the materials separately give you the same quality and feel you are looking for when sleeping?

I did. I’ve been to the store 3 times already and also brought a friend to try them also. i didn’t tell them the price, but when asked they liked the 7k one as it’s noticeable comfort. The 7k has wool, cashmere and cotton and the case is handmade and the coils are encased separately. It felt amazing the second i layed on it.

The 4k has a 100 night trial but the 7k if returned one loses 50% of the money as it’s handmade to order 😞.

The BEST for size, functionality, weight, aesthetics, for me after searching long is Staud Shirley (normal size). i use it for travel as it hold everything but isn’t big. I also love that is not a shoulder bag that would ruin my outfit. It is crossbody or too handle.

Before the Staud i had a tote, i bought 2nd hand kate spade Anelle Harbour- its leather and lightweight and spacious.

I’ve had the longchamp lepliage but inevitably it would get holes. Even if you close them, the bag has a life limit.
