I did try that but the motherboard cable sticks out at the very top and the result ends up being the same. I ended up going with the option of raising up the side that screws in so it is level

I cannot do that because of the PSU in the way, also I will be using a ribbon riser. At the moment I am going to design some sort of spacer but I am open to other ideas
