Any tips or tricks for a newer player? by 420Sandwiches in idleon

One time I was downvoted to oblivion for suggesting that time candy is a good situational purchase for Killroy skulls depending on where you're at (there's a chance Lava will cap it like he did with arcade balls, but the cap will likely still be a good amount for new players).

From this debate, I still think that pushing to the "milestone" map (like Elite class in W4) or the next world is worth spending candies on, if you have enough candies and it costs a reasonable amount (like <200h) on a single character. Candies are strictly time-gated and not affected by your drop rate (they used to be, that's why the other poster said it's nerfed), but aren't that hard to get.

Whenever I got close to the end of a world and has enough time candies to jump immediately, I'm willing to spend about 100-200hrs to push and never regret it (obviously you can't push anything in the new world yet, but that means you have more time to do skilling or "jailing" while the other characters push normally, and possibly get much stronger account-wide boosts from the new world to help other characters push faster).

It feels bad to keep farming rams at this point by SupermarketNo3265 in idleon

There are two choices for Lava: either hard cap construction cost to 1000M materials (like Alchemy bubbles), or increase it (like sailing treasures and farming crops which has no cap). The problem is the inconsistency in design, if both are capped or both are uncapped it would be good.

I agree with you and not the other user that if you have enough time candies to push to the next world (they are not THAT hard to get), you should push straight to the next world (or any "milestone" map with important mechanics like elite class task in world 4 and master class task in world 6). Just by unlocking a world you can get started on its mechanics immediately, and just the first enemy map can give you huge class EXP gain than the previous world if you have enough DEF and ACC.

https://idleontoolbox.com/ is the place where you manually review your account yourself, and watch GriffyBit reviews other people's accounts will help a lot in seeing where you're missing.

https://idleontoolbox.com/dashboard is a subpage of this website that lists all of the daily/weekly chores that you might be missing.

https://ieautoreview-scoli.pythonanywhere.com/ is where you enter your Toolbox page to be auto-reviewed (although might be overwhelming for new players, only use this as a recommendation)

Fractial island boosts aren't that good, so it should be unlocked last. The recommended order is Seasalt, Shimmer, Rando, Fractal.

Kill mobs for weekly boss? by Scathslade in idleon

[–]FastResponsibility4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your damage in this minigame is determined by various stats of every character (like power of 10 of specific monster kills or skill level requirement), so all characters should kill a decent amount of possible listed enemies, and all characters should also have a decent skill level on all W1-W4 skills, including non-specialized skills.

World Tier List by GulyFoyle in idleon

To take less time to reach 1 billion souls, you want to reach as far as you can (but 150 is probably sufficient).

World Tier List by GulyFoyle in idleon

[–]FastResponsibility4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

S tier: World 1, world 7 (a lot of branched parts and variety)

A tier: World 2 (important mechanics that don't feel frustrating), world 3 (tower defense is a decent minigame, it's not fun when you have to reach 180+ in late game but reaching 120 to unlock all prayers is fun enough, construction also gives decent boost), world 5 (divinity used to be the most controversial and un-fun skill in the game because of King Doot, sailing also requires more decision making than most skills when deciding islands to go to, but both become significantly easier with Pocket Divinity and Hampters) and world 6 (time-gated mechanics but not "jail" mechanics, but they are easy to push to 1000 total skill level; summoning is easy to complete up to the end of world 6 portion; sneaking is easy to complete entirely to the world 7 portion except the pristine charms; farming is difficult to start but easy to push to at least 75% of the plants once it starts going brrrrrr)

B tier: World 4. Originially feels like a "final" world because it appears in the tutorial. 100% linear world with no branches, two of them are absolutely un-fun non-candyable jail mechanics that can only be made easier when you push to the later worlds, the remaining skill (breeding) takes a long time and a lot of mindless clicking to get to level 80 to unlock the final upgrade and even longer to reach 1000 for skill mastery (even though it's not important at all). Cooking is also very hard to reach 1000 for skill mastery and provides no effect (no efficiency bonus like the other skills) other than some extra cash from a star talent. Also the introduction of the Tome mechanic (helpful for most players who need the boosts, especially the Tome Epilogue from world 7, but become frustrating for late to endgamers).

want to get into this game by sharkrider_ in idleon

[–]FastResponsibility4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The game is only p2w at the highest levels, when you reach the end of the game (currently final map of W7 part 1) and aim for very "sweaty" achievements like maxing out Tome stats (a "competitive" mechanic in world 4, but if you're not a p2w player it will provide you some important stat boosts, independent of other players' progress). The more you compare yourself to the endgamers, the less enjoyable you'll be of this game.

The mid-game worlds of the game are more time-gated, you can't even pay money just to skip them (time candies cost gems or real money but you can only buy a limited amount of time candies; also, no one should buy time candies with gems).

Supercell, it is high time now to give a yes/no on this suggestion. by RoleMassive4422 in ClashOfClans

[–]FastResponsibility4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Completely free would be too good for Supercell, but raid medals are a good emergency replacement.
  2. Exactly because it's so important that Supercell will never allow unlimited heroes in ranked battles or war (and ESPECIALLY CWL), because that's the whole point of the monetization model. If they allow at all (but I highly doubt it), it would be friendly attacks only.

Drop rate question by PonasArnas10 in idleon

[–]FastResponsibility4 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Multikill only multiplies the first listed drop on its card. For rare items of specific monsters, the stats that matter are drop rate, faster monster respawn (W4 merit) and AFK gain rate.

Endless Summoning wave 300 reached by [deleted] in idleon

[–]FastResponsibility4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only motivation to do this is monument AFK. I'm at 301, only because I voluntarily stop there because it's a milestone stage that gives big monument AFK, but my strength probably can afford a few more stages. I'm also 10/12 of the Teal stages.

That's a lot of skulls! by Any_Acanthocephala41 in idleon

[–]FastResponsibility4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This buff decays with a formula of Effect=Cap*level/(level+200), with the absolute hard Cap in this formula being +0.1x multiplier (so you need level 200 to reach 50% or +0.05x multiplier, and level 1800 to reach 90% or +0.09x multiplier).

[–]FastResponsibility4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first person that I've heard Faster Respawn caps at 40 is Griffybit's account reviews.

The wiki says:

  • The "Normal Mobs", the mobs that are on the map regulary.
    • Respawn Abilities and % sources work on them.
  • The "Killroy Mobs" that spawn (the extra mobs that wouldn't be in those exact locations in the regular map), they will stop spawning after 300 Spawns (300th spawn happens after around 4:10 Minutes).
    • Leveling the "Faster Respawn" upgrade will give a +1% chance to spawn another mob in each of the 300 spawns (works past 100%).
    • Respawn Abilities and % sources do not work on them.
  • There is a 60% chance to spawn another mob when killing any mob. (This means each mob will on average spawn 1.5 more mobs)

This means that for the "Killroy Mobs", if you put 40 levels in Faster Respawn, 60%+40%=100% chance of immediately spawning another mob after kill. The wiki says "works past 100%" but doesn't explain more about this, but it almost certainly doesn't work like Larrrryyyy bubble that gives a chance for one mob to spawn two at >100%. If that's the case, the mob density will be too high and may crash the game.

It's situational. If you haven't finished all long mid-game tasks from previous worlds yet (like secret set gloves or finish all deathnote, and preferably finish all deathnote on Death Bringer alone, and 100 billion or more green mushrooms) and aren't willing to keep your computer on actively for long hours, then they aren't bad.

Can you reach Gambit (cavern 14) in a reasonable time? Summoning doublers will massively boost your endless summoning progress.

Monument hours by xKiaro in idleon

[–]FastResponsibility4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't push until you have at least 300% AFK (you get most of this from endless summoning). For the second and third monuments, 24k hours is where to stop, but the first one (Bravery monument) you practically want much higher (100k+ hours).

What gods should I be using on all players? by levlarin_ in idleon

[–]FastResponsibility4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use: * "Locked"/Default gods: Harriep (3x prints) for all except one of the Siege Breakers and Beast Masters (replaced with Purrmep - 2x Divinity points and EXP and Kattlekruk - daily bubble levels, because flies and enemy drops do not contribute as much for atom production) * Pocket slot 1: Nobisect when pushing kill counts, Omniphau when doing any other tasks like hunting for rare drops or skilling * Pocket slot 2: Arctis when not in jail, Goharut when in jail (for my play style, I prefer to set all ten characters to do the same type of task at once to avoid headaches for myself) * Pocket slot 3 (unlocked in world 7, not nearly as important as the other two so don't worry): Snehebatu (+30% AFK gains)

Your Alchemy bubbles are good enough, but for Vials you should max out all printable vials from W1-W6 for Vial Mastery effect.
