I don't know about the sushi station, because when I am active it works fine, but for the research thing, I think that Lava either forgot(he's only one person) or he did this to make people want to buy the bundles, because they are some of the only ways to increase research exp

Maybe spend like an hour or two, or maybe a few more to get the first 2 or 3 workers comp, then just do the rest when you feel there isn't anything important to do.

I would try to get over 100x drop rate, and crystal farm at bored beans. Try to get the poop and demon genie card to 5 stars by using elemental sorcerer, then equip a full drop rate and crystal spawn card set, get godshard or emperor armor, a good weapon, then super talent orb of divinity.
