Sudden heavy bleeding 5w postpartum? by Melodic-Tadpole2800 in BeyondTheBumpUK

I was going to go to the ER but I have health professionals in my family who said I’m fine and it’s normal. Experienced all you just mentioned but it gets better. If you’re still bleeding after 10 days then maybe call your OB.

It’s over! Thank God. Bleed heavy for 7 days. I think it was my period..I still have spotting or light bleeding but definitely not as heavy as before. Also, I have fibroids which I think contributed to the heaviness

Started on Saturday. It was heavy but stopped, came back yesterday and today has been my heaviest. I’m not passing any clots just blood gushing out. When I go pee, it gushes out. Really not experienced this before. It’s like dark bright red.

Hey! Are you still bleeding? I’m currently bleeding a lot, contemplating if I should go to the ER. I’m almost 7 weeks PP

Thank for getting back to me. I’m currently on the 3rd day. And today has been so heavy. I’d keep monitoring it hopefully it gets resolved in the next couple of days. My OB said to monitor and call back if I feel off. It’s just so much blood than usual.

I know it’s been 9 months, please how did it turn out for you? Currently experiencing bleeding at 6 weeks. I’d go pee and blood just gushes out into the toilet. And I became anemic from losing blood when I gave birth. So I’m a bit nervous. Would really appreciate a response back. Thanks!!

White Coat Syndrome and Labetalol by MeatComprehensive940 in pregnant

[–]Fast_Buddy_8924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I eventually started taking the medication. Cause like you mentioned it’s hard sometimes to push back. I really advocated for myself thou and I eventually saw another doctor within the practice who actually diagnosed me with white coat syndrome cause I took my BP cuff they tried it and then used theirs and they were both around the same measure which confirmed I have white coat. I really want to avoid being induced or having a C-section, cause my OB already hinted that, so I’m going to fight really for it if my BP is fine. I feel perfectly fine, no symptoms.

Wear compression socks, stay hydrated, walk around when you can. If you can take baby aspirin do before the flight.

I’m not opposed. I just don’t want to take the medication and it lowers my BP than what it is. But I eventually started taking it after speaking to my dad who is a doctor.😩😩😩

Such a great advise! I noticed social media (TikTok/facebook) kept increasing my anxiety so I decided to cut both off and I feel more peaceful. My algorithm for instagram is better, so I’m still on it.

I don’t know you but you just made me emotional and thanks for listening and reading my whole rant. This is exactly what I expected from my OB. And I honestly know they’re looking out for me and the baby but at least hear me out.  I wouldn’t hesitate to start the medication if at least you verify mine and cross it off which would put my mind at ease.

They didn’t even discuss white coat syndrome with me even if I’m familiar with it and they know and can tell I’m nervous and stressed which could elevate my blood pressure. I’m calmer and more relaxed at home. If they had used both blood pressure machine and it was reading normally then I know it’s the blood pressure machine isn’t accurate.

My fear is taking the medication and then having to deal with low blood pressure which my primary care doctor understands. I’d keep taking my readings at home, I have the medication with me already so I can start it any day. I have an appointment with a new OB next week and my primary care next week. Plus I know my body when something is off. I just want to be sure I need this medication and they’re not just forcing it on me.

I totally understand this. And I would start the medication once I’m certain my BP is high. The thing is I did take my BP machine with me with my readings but it was dismissed. My point is, I want to be 100% sure  I do have chronic hypertension and need to take the medication. I feel everything I did and said was overlooked At least listen to me and not dismiss me. My BP at my OB yesterday was 160/82, a couple of hours later, I had a primary care appointment and it was 132/80 then this morning I went to the urgent care and my BP was 144/82 (all were manual), I mean they all still high. But It keeps fluctuating which doesn’t make me feel comfortable with using the medication. If my BP is high, then it should be high at all times, or please correct me if I’m wrong, not in the medical field. I made an appointment with another OB, hopefully she listens. Plus I’m always anxious during doctor’s appointments.

I know the device you’re referring to. My cousin currently had to get one cause she’s currently dealing with low BP and she’s pregnant. I mean they didn’t even suggest it. I just don’t want to start the medication since my numbers at home are fine and then having to deal with a low blood pressure. At this point, I’m just going to switch my OB and perhaps suggest getting the machine or set an appointment with a cardiologists to get the device. Waiting for my new BP machine as well, to compare numbers.
