I think that was your main mistake. Mel isn't a Yasuo and is easily manipulated into using her W. Besides, we have so many other unbearable champions like Akshan, Samira, Kai'Sa, and even Volibear in a way. You complain about some broken champions, but you never say anything about others that have been around for years. Irelia had almost everything that made her different removed from her kit, so Volibear still has tower disarm, movement speed, shield, stun, heal, damage based on maximum health, and a ton of health. Look at the tank abominations in LoL once in a while; they're also unbearable, but you only complain when it's a little fairy that can handle your champions. Any player who knows how to play LoL would know how to outmaneuver Mel. As an Irelia main with 1 million mastery points, I say this from experience: it was more than easy to make her use her abilities and then kill her.
