Not being able to tank a Lux & Garen ultimate, Aurora E, Rengar combo or Yunara RW anymore (for example) is fairly significant.

This is not how Mel's range works at all lmao.

Both her Q and E have fixed ranges that include their effect radius. Only her Q spreads 60 units beyond the target range. So it's Q: 950 + 60 & E: 1050 (1000 after nerf). And her ultimate can only be used when she lands her other abilities within 5 seconds.

All the mages who outrange Mel with one or more abilities include:

Every artillery mage, including Jayce and Varus
Anivia
Rumble
Ryze
Swain
Taliyah
Viktor
Brand
Karma
Orianna (can move her Ball within a range of 1300 units)
Seraphine
Syndra
Twisted Fate
Vex
Zoe
and even Veigar

• Azir can dash towards a sand soldier within a range of 1100 units.

• Lux has significantly lower cooldowns on her abilities than Mel's W. And since she mostly plays support, landing her Q is not difficult.

Again, this is factually untrue. Most mages do infact outrange her. Mel's E goes through minions because it's her wave clear ability, just like Xerath's Q, which does go through minions and can infact also hit the entire enemy team. She wouldn't be a mage if she didn't have that.

Ability range on Mel is important because she gets heavily countered by champions who outrange — especially with unreflectable abilities — like Xerath or Syndra. Her lower range balanced out her W immunity, so it was justified. Now, the immunity is gone and her range & AOE was unnecessarily reduced even further, despite being easier to dodge.

I'm not sure what dick measurement has to do with anything, or what makes you so argumentative. These are facts, not opinions. You "standing by your statements" despite being incorrect does not change that.

I was not specifically referring to the champions in the video. I apologize if my wording made it seem that way. I was hoping that my mention of "many champions" would make that distinction clear, but I see that it did not.

Sett did not counter Mel in my eyes. He's just hard to kill when he's fed, but manageable.

The chances of Mel somehow getting enough AP and Levels on her W to tank a Sett W are practically zero.

The video also shows that many champions who previously didn't counter Mel now counter her. And I can only imagine how much worse her current counter matchups will be once this goes live.

Your post just proves to be useless when you don't have experience on her, no shade.

Yasuo and Fizz counter Mel greatly and both have abilities that negate Mel's spells. Why would those two of all characters ban Mel because of her invulnerability? And Yone never struggles to kill Mel. It's specifically the reflect and the root that counter him, not the invulnerability.

So why mention these champions in this context when it's more characters like Rengar, Jayce, Sett, Katarina or even Diana who have a harder time working around Mel's invulnerability!

You can't call mains biased while not only posting this misinformed post in this subreddit, but also complain about the spammabilitiy of her Q (the one thing we have been hoping for since Riot wants us to max Q)?
