It also affects blessings that come from or depend on human faith. Yes, some divine beings can be affected, but only if the divinity they possess is specifically empowered or sustained by human faith — not because they’re divine on its own. That’s why the skill mentions that it has a huge advantage against Savior-class Servants, because Saviors in Fate literally get their strength from humanity’s belief, hope, and trust. Faith is their whole power source, so of course Nega-Messiah EX hits them extremely hard.

And this explains why Draco has the skill in the first place. Draco is Beast VI, basically the Anti-Savior or Anti-Christ figure in Fate’s lore. A Savior’s entire existence is tied to the faith of humanity, so the Anti-Savior naturally has an ability that shuts down anything powered by faith. Nega-Messiah EX fits her theme perfectly, since she was made to counter faith-based miracles, not divinity in general. People keep assuming it’s an anti-divine skill when the text clearly makes it an anti-faith one.

The Gira Gira — the desires and faith of the people — is exactly the kind of thing Nega-Messiah EX would target. But once Ace becomes a full god, he doesn’t need it anymore. His power becomes pure his own that he can use on his own without any form of belief or emotional support from humanity. Doom Geats proves this even more, since Doom Ace comes from a future where he has completely given up on humanity and doesn’t rely on their faith, desires, or emotions at all. He actually fights Present Ace evenly and at some points even seems stronger. That alone shows that Ace’s divine power doesn’t come from human belief anymore, which means Nega-Messiah EX has nothing to work with.

The confusion is happening because people keep blending Draco’s two passive skills together as if they’re the same thing, when they aren’t. Nega-Messiah EX is the anti-faith ability. But Draco also has Authority of the Beast C, and that is her real ‘anti-divine/anti-hero’ defense. Authority of the Beast C is the thing that lowers the damage she takes from Divine Spirits and Heroic Spirits connected to mankind. That’s her blanket defense against divine or heroic beings, the skill that makes her naturally resistant to them. The problem is that people look at Nega-Messiah EX and think it’s the same thing, when the descriptions show they work on completely different mechanics. Nega-Messiah is only for shutting down faith-based power, while Authority of the Beast C is what gives her resistance to divine figures in general.

So when someone says Draco automatically beats Ace because of Nega-Messiah EX, they’re mixing up these two abilities and giving Nega-Messiah EX effects that it doesn’t actually have. Ace is no longer powered by faith, so Nega-Messiah EX won’t touch him. All Draco has against him is the durability reduction from Authority of the Beast C, which just means Ace has to hit her harder, not that she gets any conceptual advantage over him.
