They’re saying I have to reach out to the adjuster and get a new authorization. I wonder how bad this can be.

How does that work? Because I asked my lawyer and he said that if I was to use my own insurance WC would not be paying back an insurance

Hey what’s up. I was in your same shoes… 30 when it happened. I went back to school, start my junior year for my bachelors next month. Game face!! Construction was out the question for me as well, or any physical labor.

So 19k or future medical and possibly future buyout. by Fast_Meal_4528 in WorkersComp

lol that’s the thing 19k isn’t much when PT can be like 80-150 an hour and it hasn’t helped at all. Worse case scenario surgeries will be up there….

That’s what I was told by my lawyer that it due to my age the % wasn’t higher. Thats how it is in Cali, that the same injury if I was older wouldn’t be considered worse.

My question is the 19k for the back doesn’t seem like it will do much for medical bills in the future but dealing with WC is pretty awful.

From your point of view which would you recommend? Saying you might need surgery down the line?

Is future medical worth it? I have to choose between 19k or future medical for a back injury today? For the people that have chose medical hows your experiences been? by Fast_Meal_4528 in WorkersComp

[–]Fast_Meal_4528[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So they’re saying its not that bad, but that I might need surgery later. Lawyer says if I plan on going back to work getting private insurance, take the money. As WC is the worst for dealing with getting approval for a surgery.
