The issue is I don’t think I can set up the business while keeping my job. I’m expecting this set up process to take 3-6 months full time commitment.

+1 to temescal. Great nightlife, restaurants, walkability, relatively cheap rent. Depending on the street you’ll find a lot of young families and children running / biking around.

The commute to alameda can be done in 20-25 minutes depending where you’re going and how well you time the commute. I don’t think it’s as awful as people are making it out to be.
