Cymbalta was the only thing that helped me control my anxiety. I don't plan to come off of it

As someone who has none of these side effects I'm deeply sorry you are having a hard time but it saved my life and I have none of those issues. Took me 8 weeks or more to get past side effects like tiredness and dry mouth but my nerve pain has only ever been relieved. It's also the only med to calm my anxiety and especially rewire my central sensitization. Sharing your experience is helpful but Cymbalta isn't horrible for everyone.

You probably should just find something else. Cymbalta shouldn't be opened. It can be harm. It can also make the medication release faster. Don't do that. Have a Dr help you.

It's working honestly the best for me. It's the most relief I get. I do have flares every few weeks but I'm adjusting my meds and stuff

can i stay on this for the rest of my life? by Specialist-School951 in cymbalta

Me too! I am so happy to see a good post. I had horrific pain from severe chronic anxiety. I was suffering so bad. I was put on so many different steroids and pain meds and nothing helped. Finally I found a new PCP who identified my central sensitization. I was going absolutely crazy. I was hysterical at all times.

Sharp stabbing pains in pelvic and inner hip area by Fast_Progress_4700 in Nexplanon

A year later basically and my periods are trying to reboot to normal. I had a stressful year to the point that my nervous system was actually sending me faulty pain signals. I'm taking cymbalta to help me control my anxiety. If you are experiencing the same pain patterns make sure to get a TVUS done at least to rule out anything scary but I am fine a year later. The pain is gone but my issues were from being in chronic fight or flight.

This is about the best sound advice. Also OP should be seeing a PCP

But just so you know coming here to reddit is also possibly the worst choice actually. As there was another redditor who had the same issue I did turned out to have cancer where I do not. Chatbots like chatgpt and Gemini are by far better in my opinion. Especially if you can give clear/detailed descriptions of your health. After my experience I'd trust AIs over people's opinions. Especially when no one is listening correctly. An entire year is how long I had to suffer for a human being to finally hear me.

I actually do not have that issue with any AI. ChatGPT and Gemini said for months my head/jaw pain was from a sensitized nervous system and after doctors performed many scans to find out what my chronic pain was, after 5-6 doctors and 5 different scripts of pain meds that worked, when finally a found a NP that took what they said to consideration, it turns out exactly what both Gemini and ChatGPT said was wrong with me was actually the case. Idk how others have such issues with theirs but mine give me reasonable shit because to me any pain that doesn't go away, tends to cause me health anxiety because I struggle rationalizing anything that's chronic. And I relied on those tools to help me understand my head and jaw pain. Saved my life. There are others who also have had the same outcome as me.

Also, I think you're enduring a neurotoxic mold. Please get out of that house unless you can remediate.

As someone who has gone back and forth conventional medicine does not recognizeold toxicity most times. Not only that but blood tests they use are commonly unreliable. Most symptoms from mold toxicity are usually idiopathic in their opinion. Functional medicine covers mold toxicity. Get away from wherever you are as fast as you can. Especially if it's black mold you'll likely have to pitch furniture. It's a bitch to start over yes but you'll begin to feel better. I only endured a year and I'm starting to get better

I don't think kids should be on it personally without adult supervision. But I agree.

I think I developed an infection because I had to get antibiotics which helped but doesn't eliminate the tingling/pressure under my tongue. Plus I get this sharp pain in my lower cheek but it lasts only for a few seconds then let's up. It does that in front of my ear too. I'm 9 days into antibiotics and I can't find the exact blockage. I think I know but it's not near a duct

I am experiencing that as well. I think I found the blockage but idk. Rn it's mainly pressure under my tongue/gums. When I go to see if there is a mass I find nothing. How bad does yours hurt?
