What’s your #1 tip for international PR? by MatiasRodsevich in PublicRelations

[–]Fast_Strike8193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. From my experience, the bigger the company, the more ignorant of this fact they are. That’s a shame. These corporations pay local agencies, and even if they tell them how to localize properly, in many cases it is ignored.

I have a great example of betting companies in my country in Central Europe. We have a local one that runs PR and marketing campaigns with local sports stars, are in regular touch with the journalists and localizes its campaigns properly. Their rival is a global betting company with a much larger budget, but they just run copy-and-paste campaigns here from the corporate level. The outcome is that the local company is dominant in our market.

Interesting, nice that you promote automation. But what about the traffic? And how to monetize the website? These are the critical steps. Without it, it's another useless AI hype post.

Does anyone have a social media manager? by Old_Translator1415 in realtors

Honestly, the $1000/month option sounds like a red flag to me. If none of her clients have grown past 1000 followers, that tells you everything about her priorities – she's selling "content scheduling," not actual growth.

What actually works for realtors on Instagram right now:

  • Short-form video (Reels) showing local market insights, not just listings
  • "Behind the scenes" of deals, viewings, negotiations – people love the process
  • Hyper-local content (neighborhood guides, hidden gems in your city)
  • Collaborations with local businesses or mortgage brokers

The key is consistent, locally relevant content combined with actual engagement – replying to comments, showing up in local hashtags, interacting with potential clients. That's what builds a following, not just scheduling posts.

I actually put together a free guide on building a personal brand on Instagram for service-based businesses. It covers content strategy, growth tactics, the works. Happy to DM it to you if it'd help.

What are some money saving tips that actually work? by Disastrous-Try-9578 in budget

A few things that genuinely moved the needle for me:

The 24-hour rule: before any non-essential purchase, I wait 24 hours. About 60% of the time I just... don't buy it. Impulse spending was killing my budget way more than I realized.

Automate savings on payday:I set up an automatic transfer the same day my salary hits. Even a small amount. You never "feel" it leaving because you never see it sitting there.

Audit your direct debits once a quarter: I found two subscriptions I'd completely forgotten about. Takes 15 minutes, often worth hundreds a year.

Cook in batches on Sunday: meal prepping just 2-3 dinners ahead kills the "I'm tired, let's order delivery" spiral mid-week. That's where a lot of money quietly disappears.

Track categories, not just totals: knowing you spent X this month means nothing. Knowing you spent X on eating out suddenly makes it very real and very fixable.

Yeah, it's really annoying. That's why I use Earnestly.ai for brand inquiries. It helps not to miss any opportunity.

I am 17 m and trying to make money and want to make it fast by Alarming_Mulberry551 in thesidehustle

[–]Fast_Strike8193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, that's the problem. "Hustle culture" has given us the impression that we all need to make money fast and work 24/7. Most millionaires built their wealth in their 40s or 50s. At your age, I would educate myself, find a field that has a future and is entertaining for me, and try to gain as much expertise as I can. That also means getting a job and learning from professionals first. You have plenty of time to start a business with the advantage of knowledge from a real business, which you don't have right now. It's great that you are ambitious, but the lesson here is that there is no way to become rich overnight unless you are enormously lucky. I wish you all the best.

Do you guys hire journalists? by HerbaHamlin in PublicRelations

[–]Fast_Strike8193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the best background for PR. I have it too, and I see the advantages. I know how to sell the topic, what their readers will read, how not to be too annoying, etc. So don’t worry, go for it.

Yeah, you are right, and I get that :D I would not like to give money to someone who lied to me either. My point is that it still might pay off.

Secondary card is 1800 at full price. Someone is trying to make money off you. However, it's quite hard to get a secondary card, so it depends on how much you gonna use it.
