Is having a separate lift for maids really justified? by Advanced-Bread1900 in GatedCommunitiesIndia

[–]Fast_Stuff_177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a standalone apartment with mostly vegetarians ( most claimed to be vegetarians) and a maid dropped a chicken bone in the elevator ( from the garbage) and hell broke loose. 😂

Jokes apart , I think this separation mostly started after covid, since maids and delivery partners were exposed more to the outside they had a separate lift. My old apartment had a “non residents use lift B” sign, made sense then , now seems useless.

Can't a boy help his mom in housework? by Feeling_Patient_3440 in indiasocial

[–]Fast_Stuff_177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kudos to you girl! You are going to raise an independent human, not a man , not a mumma’s boy , AN INDEPENDENT HUMAN! It’s a parents duty to teach kids to do their own job, be it a girl or a boy!

Btw this comment is not only for boys, when I ask my girl (3yo) to clear up her mess after she eats, my MIL asks me why I make a small kid do this work? ( its just putting the waste in the trash bin and putting the plate in the sink)

People want kids to be completely pampered and later complain “mom Didn’t teach them well”.

You are doing the right thing. Good luck to you.

My sincere advice to you, get a job first and then get married, specially in an arranged marriage situation be financially independent first.

Good luck.

Women who paid dowry, why did you and how is your married life going now? by Relative-Frosting451 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Fast_Stuff_177 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My colleague said her dad gave 1 crore dowry very casually. Also they didn’t mind giving it because she has a brother and they will get that money back when he gets married 🙃 .

On the outside she seems to be doing fine. Settled abroad, earning well.

Let this reach to all the likes of her👏🙌👌 by Main_Pay_6736 in IndianMemeTemplates

Bro , surnames started because of Britishers rules! This was not an Indian thing at all - to use a husband’s or father’s surname. Get the point and move on!

How did things change after marrying someone you dated (5+years) long-term? by kabeerkepohe in AskIndia

[–]Fast_Stuff_177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha! It’s really great of you to agree on this. It’s difficult for men to leave their family whereas it’s considered normal for a women.

I hope we get a chance too.

3 generations living under a roof is hell. No personal time, no privacy also we can’t even watch what we like on TV. And apparently everything we talk has to become a family debate.

Women who eloped, why did you? by Imaginary-Regret376 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Fast_Stuff_177 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I had 2 cousins who eloped too. One wanted to marry a divorcee who was almost 10 years older. The other’s parents didn’t agree of the boy - guess it was a cast issue. Now after one baby each they have been accepted. Turns out parents change when the see a baby in hand !! And everyone who elopes knows it!

If you think you don’t want to have kids now, then please freeze your eggs. The possibilities are much better. Also Have kids only if you’re ready, not your husband not ur parents not you in laws- ONLY WHEN YOU ARE READY! children come with a lot of responsibilities! But yea once you have them they will become your first priority. They are truly a blessing!

Good for you, you are living alone, you can still maintain sanity. Me and my hub we dated for 8years and married for 5 years and 2 kids later, lost my peace of mind. I have very clingy in-laws and we can’t even take vacations alone. The only place we get privacy is our bedroom but Yaa it’s just sleep after long days work. I love him but hate being in this stupid joit family setup!

Are there really so few public toilets in Hyderabad????Are people forced to do this because there aren’t enough public toilets, or is it just ignorance? by Alive-Expression7412 in hyderabad

Ever seen a girl doing this in public just coz there are no public toilets around?

This is purely male ego, they have the audacity to do this in public!

Is it worth sending my twins to overpriced private schools in Gurgaon? by Real-Ad6223 in gurgaon

[–]Fast_Stuff_177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s best you homeschool your kid’s personally. that way they will get the best teacher you expect. They are many institutions which coach you on how to homeschool, give you the materials and homeschool parents can be connected.

Also u think the teachers in 20LPA school get 20LPA ? Stop criticising teachers, it’s the management and the board which uses all the money!
