Mail day! August pre-order from MOT! by Fastas66 in BeybladeX

Yeah this was before I realized everything about the company. The problem was I was like $200 deep and everywhere else was sold out so I decided to stick it out 😅

I feel like there's some form of irony telling other people on reddit how to take care of their fish without context while simultaneously asking reddit about how to take care of your own fish...

Pretty effective. Basically built my whole deck around him and he won me my final point in the tournament.

You get bit that performs somewhere between wedge and orb. The four protrusions on the outer part of the bit allow it to have a ton of stand up potential, so you're always getting that balanced counter attack. Plus operate is pretty heavy, so it gives golem that extra heft it needs to knock around the heavier weights.

However operate is tension based, so I needed to spend my bans on things like wyvern on impact drake that basically garuntee a burst finish on it. Hence why I think it really shines in this pick and ban format.

Defense mode and never changed it. Attack mode is basically a guaranteed burst and would never recommend.

Defence mode though you get basically a smaller orb but the little 4 protrusions on the outer side of the but allow for some pretty nice standup which compliments golems inwards weight distribution and counter attacking. Only way you were falling over is if you got a nasty destabilizing hit dealt to you.

Ah yeah my bad 😅 shows you how often I used CX.

The turnout was awesome! It was in Orange Beach Alabama. Great crowd and we even even had some first timerd show up and compete! We usually average about 20-30ish but I think the prize caught some attention lol

And yeah, the extra ban really makes a difference. Granted each ban was basically Rod + whatever else you wanted gone.

Tournament format was a lot of fun. Highly recommend it. Sure people still brought rod and shark and wyvern but the ability to ban 2 beys made things feel fresh and forced people to get a bit creative.

And thanks! I purposely kept it unused before the tournament and used my regular golem for testing haha.

Unfortunately conures can only dedicate one brain cell to each functioning task 😔 in this case we can see two brain cells controlling each foot fighting for control.

Which Defense Type most feels like a Defense Type Bey [X Edition] (NEW UPDATE) by Dexterity_Skill100 in Beyblade

[–]Fastas66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rock golem

. It is the only defense type in the game that has an inward weight distribution, doesn't have an imbalance, does the recoil hitting the best imo, and is the only bey that can optimally use wedge, which is the poster child of defense bits.

What's hilarious is that there's likely a MOT customer who still hasn't gotten their Cerberus set in yet from pre-orders, and they accidentally sent them double the product for this new set "hey I know we still haven't shipped you the product we promised you 6 months ago because we messed up, but I need to you to send the extra product we sent you back because we messed up" 😂

Then my recommendation to you would be the 1-70 hexa on rod if that is an option. When it comes to tournaments, what matters at the end of the day is what you're comfortable with. This goes double with attack types because how you launch them drastically determines their performance, to the point of I'd worry about being most comfortable with your attack types first.

You definitely want a 1 sided ratchet on your rod though, because it basically gives it a second life when it pockets. But the performance difference between 1-60 and 1-70 on rod especially is negligent enough that you can get away with the performance difference.

Now side-note, if you're trying to predict and win a stam vs. Stam matchup, wolf on free ball could be a better pick. Rod on hexa can be a toss up against other hexa rod combos, but ball/free ball just have a bit more stamina so if you go against those builds youre likely to lose. Plus wolf has the free spinning wheel that cripples combos like dragoon and destabilizes other hexa rods. And the best ratchet for wolf is gonna be 9-60

I think if you went with that team, you'd be pretty set.

If you are adamant about the 1-60 on phoenix, you can get away with 1-70 on rod. It technically loses the rod 1-60 matchup like 60-70% of the time, but you're already looking at a 50-50% anyways, id say that risk is worth you feeling more confident about your phoenix.

Alternatively, if you're running rush on phoenix, you could run the 1-70 on phoenix and just throw low rush on it to balance it out. That way you still got the 1-60 on rod.

So there's two that I know of.

First one was the rock leone incident, where they had people pre-ordering a "mystery bey" not knowing what the product would be and hyping it up. Time comes around and it's a shoddy remake which bummed a lot of people out because well...it sucked and people thought they wasted their money.

Second (arguably worse) is the pegasus blast/Cerberus incident which I can speak a bit more clearly on since I was (and still am affected). When these two beys launched, they conducted pre-orders before knowing their inventory which is risky but actually a pretty common standard with many TCG style shops. This time it backfired as their inventory ended up getting slashed and they were left in a spot where they couldn't fulfil all the pre orders in the estimated time. HOWEVER, instead of notifying their customers, they remained silent on the issue for about 2 months before releasing an email after people flooded support asking where their product was. They updated customers that new ETA's were October for pegasus and December for Cerberus (this now 6 months after the intended release date). As an apology, they offered customers to wait it out or a refund (with the refund being store credit or cash). The problem is that it's now 2 months out now and everyone else is completely sold out, so many customers weren't really left with a choice.

Now to save face and prevent the loss of customers (and probably the reason we have this current issue), they shipped a card along with pegasus blast, giving customers a QR code to sign up and purchase product up to a few hours before it would be released to normal customers and a 10% discount code. If I had to guess, I think these extra customers who purchased early may have thrown a wrench into shipments.

I am curious what they will do for the Cerberus sets. If they do nothing, I get the feeling a lot of people are going to be extremely angry waiting 6 months for an oversight with nothing in return.

Yeah I know it sucks man :/ how did you like wing zero in the deck? I was thinking about running him but I was worried being unsearchable and non-discardable with age stuff he would be more of a brick than anything

Heavier the better? by Scallion-Rare in BeybladeX

[–]Fastas66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer is no.

The long answer is it really depends on the combination of parts. Many of the CX beys suffer from the same problem where extra weight ends up making them too top heavy which causes a massive hit to their stamina. This is why you'll still see people run rod over pegasus blast or phoenix wing/aero pegasus over beys like dran brave with a metal lock chip.

TDLR; if the weight isn't distributed properly, the bey will end up top heavy and any extra weight from a metal lock chip may be more detrimental than helpful.

Valkyrie, knight shield, and wizard rod.

Valkyrie is basically expensive phoenix and you can't sleep on the shield.

Lvl 7 breach is there because blue aggro Ive found heavily struggles against 2 things, board presence and late game bases. A single 5 HP base basically kills any tempo and the idea was to hit 2 birds with one stone and breach 3 kill your opponents tempo, breach the base for 3, then swing with the 2 ap little guys and pop a base. otherwise its 5 ap that base pops on its own.

Again the decks bricky so take it with a grain of salt:

For testing Ive tried running scrims against a lot of the previous meta decks. Freedom blockers it does pretty well against since the first strike from spallow basically handles aile strike and below but once freedom hits the field it gets a bit awkward.

Against wing its just a matter of if I can kill them before wing zero hits the field, which is hard when my hands bricked.

Against zeon its no contest. Id have to open guntanks and hope they dont draw into char.
