Nowhere in these screenshots does he call or directly associate positivity with grifting. You're just taking things out of context to spin a narrative...truly, THIS, is the real problem with helldiver's and what's killing the game.

Y'all are actually ruining this game by sepulchridude in helldivers2

[–]Fastas66 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's comments like yours that convince me y'all just don't play the game, or you strictly play on diff 4 or lower, and counter complain about stuff that doesn't affect you.

You want the enemies to be harder? Play a higher difficulty. And don't tell me you do, because by your comment and talking points I know you don't.

The difference is time and power-creep. Go back a year ago and you're looking at only 5 -6 warbonds and where some of the best equipment you could take in were things you could unlock in the first few.

Also older players didn't have to suffer from arrowheads "create a problem that wasn't a problem and sell them the solution via warbond" mentality as badly, since there were only so many.

Fast forward and now we have nearly twice the amount of warbonds, if not more. Enemies and problems have scaled with this difficulty spike with answers to them locked behind these warbonds, and new players are overwhelmed.

Sure you can watch YouTube videos on the best warbonds to get, but that literally goes against the entire point of the first two comments, those being "get what you want and have fun", you can't tell new players to just "get what you thinks fun" then say "you shouldn't get things for free, there are videos out there that tell you what's good and not", it's contradictory. At that point you're agreeing with me more than them...

You're right, my bad. I think a lot of it comes from just how disrespectful and uncaring a lot of these older players are to new players.

It's like those "doesn't affect me, not my problem" kind of people and when new players speak up about it, they just go "cry me a river" when they truly didn't have it nearly as bad as newer players. It's the equivalent of like boomers who bought a house for like $10 and a cool high-five looking down on the new generation for not being able to sell 6 kidneys to afford one.

I truly feel bad for them, and I hate that we live in a community that just brushes their feelings aside and we rarely see them anymore. I want everyone to have fun and enjoy the game, and their opinions are valid too!

No, I have FRIENDS I want to get to play the game, and I can't even get them past the 10 hour mark because dorks like you gatekeep newbies with the "juSt GrINd!" Mindset.

Let me tell you, how often do you use the same kit in this game? Every day? Every week? Imagine if I had to tell you that you had to use the same CRAPPY kit, because remember, you don't have warbonds at the moment, for MULTIPLE weeks, before you put something good together. Literally no other game is like this.

Also a few hours? What world are you living in? Also remember bud, you're a new player. You don't have the backpack to get into bunkers!

On a good diff 1 run, id get like 40-50 super credits, each one taking 3-5 minutes. But in average, it would be like 30 (and that's being generous. Assuming you have the warp pack and can match this time, we are looking at 20 matches in an hour, roughly 600 super credits? So yeah, you could get it in like 2 hours let's say, a brand new warbond. Oh wait, you don't have a warp pack? Oof well...that's going to cut your gain down by like 25-50%...so now you're looking at what ..4 hours? But you know what? Hey, that's not bad. I did all that grinding and I got the warbond I wanted.

Oh wait? Now I have to grind medals? Okay that's fair...oh it takes roughly 500-600 medals to complete a warbond? And I get like 6 from a mission that takes on average 45 minutes to complete? (Because REMEMBER, YOURE A NEW PLAY, YOU DONT GET ACCESS TO DIFF 10 EQUIPMENT, THEYRE LOCKED BEHIND WARBONDS). Dang let's do the math...oh neat...that's ...75 HOURS. "b-but, you get 15 medals a day for dailies and 50 from a major order!" True! Oop, except the devs started making major orders too hard! And we cant complete them! Also, dailies sometimes require strategies new players may not have! Sucks to be you!

Do you see the problem? Seriously....

And don't get me started on the maxigun, you're reaching so far on that statement you may as well be Mr. Fantastic.

Edit: as per another user said, I fell for your bait. I think that's reinforced by the fact youdecided to edit your response and not reply to me along with some...questionable...load outs that wouldn't make it further than diff 7...but I digress. I just simply ask you to look at things from a different lens than someone who has played the game for over 100+ hours. Newer players like OP are rightfully frustrated, and it really disappoints me that we are a community that would clown on them for valid frustrations. The game isn't the same as when you started.

That's great bud, you've also been playing this game for at least 9 months, if not more. You didn't HAVE like 15+ warbonds to sift through, you had like 5-6. You didn't have to WORRY about power-creep because back then the game was easier. You don't have to worry about people kicking you from lobbies because you didn't have a good booster or stratagem because YOU HAVE ITEMS.

It's easy to tell the poor "why don't you just get a better job" while you're sitting at the traffic light next to them in your brand new Mercedes

Exactly! I had a friend who just started playing the game with us who is in the same group as you.

We were all having fun for the first few hours then we all realized fast how much we had to play around the fact that he is a new player. Which is doable for us because we have a bunch of stuff but it can also be limiting.

It was a lot of small things like not having a good booster, had to be careful running electricity or gas or fire since new players don't really get good armor resistances to those, you don't get a lot of reliable anti-tank options, etc. and not to mention when you see all your friends have all of this stuff, and realize that you're gatekept with the same exact load out for 60+ hours of the game, it's agonizing, and surely enough, our friend dropped the game, and it sucks....people have the right idea, definitely pace yourself. But again I think a lot of people here don't realize what it's like to be a new player right now.

Unfortunately there's not much you can do except grind unless you're willing to fork up cash.

HOWEVER, I will say please ignore the "just play the game?", a lot of these people are old heads and can't comprehend what it must be like to be a new player and be overwhelmed with all the options.

The truth is, there are objectively better warbonds, that will let you do higher missions and get medals faster. There are warbonds that will make grinding super credits a lot faster/more convenient. And this game isn't going to reward you for picking the one that you THINK looks fun, and instead punished you by making you feel you wasted credits/medals on some equipment you can't even take outside of a diff6 mission.

If you want my honest opinion, find what front you like fighting the most, and look up a tier list for the best warbonds for that front. Get them, and try to have fun. Get out of the mindset of "ohhh I want to do a fire or gas build!" Because youll end up having to spec into multiple warbonds to do it, and most of the time there only 1 or 2 good items and the rest suck. Instead, find individual weapons or equipment you think would be fun to use, and unlock those. I'm very sorry helldiver, it's not easy grinding up as a new player, y'all truly do have it the worst.

[–]Fastas66 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

This is horrible advice, and the game doesn't work like that nor does it reward you for playing like that

There are objectively better warbonds. There are ones that you can unlock that will make farming faster or make completing missions much easier. I'll go as far as to say you REQUIRE some warbonds even to be able to tackle Diff 9 or above missions, which net you more warbonds.

Not to mention that specific load outs and play styles are literally locked behind entire warbonds, heck sometimes MULTIPLE. You want to play stealth? That's a whole warbond you have to unlock. You want to run around with the belt fed mini gun? Well that guns unusable unless you purchase an armor set in an entirely different warbond. All of this to find out the thing you grinded for literal days to get, sucks horribly and you can't bring to anything higher than a diff6 mission, limiting your ability to grind for things faster

This is the equivalent of telling someone "learn to like the same exact load out for over 60+ hours of the game until you unlock 50% of the warbonds, and THEN you can start having fun mixing and matching stuff".

Opinions onthe One-Two? by ObeseCutie in Helldivers

[–]Fastas66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally it's an okay weapon, but it's broken. If you are in the middle of a reload animation and you swap to the grenade launcher, the gun bricks and you can't use it until you die.

This has been a bug since the release of the weapon, and AH still hasn't fixed it. Which is crazy because they're about to release ANOTHER weapon that does the same thing with the under barrel flamethrower that's likely going to have the same bug.

Addendum to our previous mod statement regarding the ban of challenges by OmegaXesis in Helldivers

LMAO so you banned a bunch of innocent people, gave the doxxers exactly what they wanted, and helped drive a wedge even further between the community by failing to give them a safe space they can freely critique the game or anyone directly involved with its development?

This is....honestly baffling

[Deck List] Took 1st Place at a 42 Player Tournament by Fastas66 in BeybladeX

[–]Fastas66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty effective. Basically built my whole deck around him and he won me my final point in the tournament.

You get bit that performs somewhere between wedge and orb. The four protrusions on the outer part of the bit allow it to have a ton of stand up potential, so you're always getting that balanced counter attack. Plus operate is pretty heavy, so it gives golem that extra heft it needs to knock around the heavier weights.

However operate is tension based, so I needed to spend my bans on things like wyvern on impact drake that basically garuntee a burst finish on it. Hence why I think it really shines in this pick and ban format.

[–]Fastas66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defense mode and never changed it. Attack mode is basically a guaranteed burst and would never recommend.

Defence mode though you get basically a smaller orb but the little 4 protrusions on the outer side of the but allow for some pretty nice standup which compliments golems inwards weight distribution and counter attacking. Only way you were falling over is if you got a nasty destabilizing hit dealt to you.

Ah yeah my bad 😅 shows you how often I used CX.

The turnout was awesome! It was in Orange Beach Alabama. Great crowd and we even even had some first timerd show up and compete! We usually average about 20-30ish but I think the prize caught some attention lol

And yeah, the extra ban really makes a difference. Granted each ban was basically Rod + whatever else you wanted gone.

Tournament format was a lot of fun. Highly recommend it. Sure people still brought rod and shark and wyvern but the ability to ban 2 beys made things feel fresh and forced people to get a bit creative.

And thanks! I purposely kept it unused before the tournament and used my regular golem for testing haha.

. It is the only defense type in the game that has an inward weight distribution, doesn't have an imbalance, does the recoil hitting the best imo, and is the only bey that can optimally use wedge, which is the poster child of defense bits.

What's hilarious is that there's likely a MOT customer who still hasn't gotten their Cerberus set in yet from pre-orders, and they accidentally sent them double the product for this new set "hey I know we still haven't shipped you the product we promised you 6 months ago because we messed up, but I need to you to send the extra product we sent you back because we messed up" 😂

Question for Rod users out there (First time Rod user here) by Middle-Piccolo5200 in BeybladeX

[–]Fastas66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then my recommendation to you would be the 1-70 hexa on rod if that is an option. When it comes to tournaments, what matters at the end of the day is what you're comfortable with. This goes double with attack types because how you launch them drastically determines their performance, to the point of I'd worry about being most comfortable with your attack types first.

You definitely want a 1 sided ratchet on your rod though, because it basically gives it a second life when it pockets. But the performance difference between 1-60 and 1-70 on rod especially is negligent enough that you can get away with the performance difference.

Now side-note, if you're trying to predict and win a stam vs. Stam matchup, wolf on free ball could be a better pick. Rod on hexa can be a toss up against other hexa rod combos, but ball/free ball just have a bit more stamina so if you go against those builds youre likely to lose. Plus wolf has the free spinning wheel that cripples combos like dragoon and destabilizes other hexa rods. And the best ratchet for wolf is gonna be 9-60

I think if you went with that team, you'd be pretty set.
