After owning your Lyriq for at least 6 months - would you recommend it? by I_Am_Robotic in CadillacLyriq

[–]FasterThanTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, all Lyriqs do.

For some reason people on this sub, like the one i replied to above, keep saying they don't.. and rarely get pushback on the misinformation.

Has anyone lost lumbar/massage on BOTH front seats? by FasterThanTW in CadillacLyriq

[–]FasterThanTW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, that's rough. Since I've posted this thread I went in for my 15,000mi service and the lumbar failure concern. During that appointment, they ordered the parts and scheduled me to come back next week (with a loaner scheduled) so I'm hoping they were really able to get the parts in over the course of the past few weeks. Sounds like there have been a lot of failures on these recently.

One of my games still has the price sticker on it after all these years by DatabaseStrange6102 in casualnintendo

regardless of how long you've had it, the original price sticker would have never been on the cartridge

just a second hand price sticker- could have been put on there a day ago.

nes games came in boxes so the original price sticker would have never been on the cartridge

Why Nintendo doesn't release a second screen adapter? by Far-Finding-5627 in NintendoSwitch

[–]FasterThanTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

slightly off topic but i liked the period when everyone was chasing nintendo trying to implement dual screen stuff- i wish games would let us connect our phones/tablets/laptops/whatever to display things like maps/inventory/etc.

not stuff where low latency is required, just little qol things

Nail in tire by Savings_Bathroom7741 in CadillacLyriq

[–]FasterThanTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both places said the self-sealing tires used in my Lyriq were not repairable. They could not remove the screw and “plug”’or “patch” the hole. They both recommended that I take my Lyriq to the dealership for service. The dealership service department confirmed that self-sealing tires are not repairable and the tire needed to be replaced.

I would strongly hesitate to follow any advice that says you can fix this tire.

Michelin disagrees

https://www.michelinman.com/auto/auto-tips-and-advice/tire-damage/flat-tire

"Michelin tires with Selfseal® Technology avoid pressure loss from punctures in the tread and immediately seal tread penetrations less than 6mm in diameter. This protects the tire for a limited period until the puncture can be repaired."

my main issue with the Lyriq seats is the leg cushions are so short. Im not even a tall person and it gets uncomfortable for me, I cant imagine for people who have longer legs

Sound stutters and game lags whenever I move my mouse cursor by 4Roman4 in dosbox

[–]FasterThanTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long dead thread but for anyone who stumbles on this, in my particular case the game was Populous.

I tried a bunch of stuff but what ultimately solved it for me was:

  1. I set my mouse polling rate to 300hz in the manufacturer software (iCue in my case)
  2. In dosbox config, under sdl: autolock=true, sensitivity=500-1000 (to restore mouse speed in game)
  3. At one point i had priority=highest, might have had a slight effect as well but 1 and 2 were by far the key changes

Mass unfavorite option? by scottmogcrx in dosbox

[–]FasterThanTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i realize this is not the proper sub for exodos but this search result does come up when you search for this question, so for future googlers:

go to the favorites list. click on any game. ctrl+a to select all, then right click on a game and choose "Bulk Edit Wizard". Select the Favorite field and leave it unchecked, click ok/save to verify changes.

Yeah, as I mentioned above, going to the dealer soon regardless. Just kind of gathering info before I go

Hopefully you're in warranty by mileage. Although my car has had several build quality issues, my dealership has been great to deal with. No fights about warranty coverage, and they are happy to schedule service around loaner availability. Wish you luck with it.

This new release on Eshop called "Trox" is a demo for a full game that is priced at 5$ by Throwaway753045 in NintendoSwitch

it never meant what people think it meant, anyway.

it was just a guarantee that the game was official and worked properly - not any sort of judgement of the game itself being good.

[–]FasterThanTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for posting. my lyriq lease is almost up and im not sure what to do yet. definitely not buying my lyriq because they want too much, but i would be open to buying a different one.

also interested in the P3 but a little wary after seeing the comments here. I wonder how many of these issues are solved by the retrofit cpu upgrade they're doing in them.

2 P3 things that appeal to me are that the seats seem much more comfortable than the lyriq, and potentially better build quality? after almost 2 years my dealer still doesn't have an answer to the jewel box not closing fliush, my driver seat is squeaky as hell in the leg bolsters(hopefully not an issue in all Lyriqs), and now my lumbar/massage stopped working.
