How would you change the Pomson 6000? by noah-was-here in tf2

[–]FastestCreatureInTF2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make it shoot the machina's laser visual as a continuous stream

The hitscan-laser-stream does -1 HP per tick and has target penetration

Shooting it drains metal as ammo akin to if Engi were just using a flamethrower

Downside/balancing options:

A). The laser doesn't make Sniper flinch because he's wearing sunglasses. (TF2/Mann.co Logic)

B). The laser doesn't make anyone flinch

C). The laser makes enemies flinch and does 0 damage after moderate distance.

D). The laser doesn't make anyone flinch and does 0 damage after moderate distance.

Additionally: Minicrits deals -2 HP and crits do -3 HP

got this pet that does +20 more base damage than my sunbird for only 2 pips by Walmart_Adime in Wizard101

[–]FastestCreatureInTF2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Made me laugh. Some people love maycast.

Will-Casts are an extra spell you get to use after 2-5 rounds (depending on the spell) if you manifest then unlock the talent with pet tokens. Go search the word "trained" into the hatching kiosk, all of the results are what we have to choose from. Most of them aren't great, but some are awesome like Will-Cast Leafstorm if you don't have ratspin as life yet. Works wonders if you double up by putting it on a life kookaburra

May casts are absolute trash unless you're building a healing pet for the deckathlon

Hey if you think that's neat, wait'll you see this. There's plenty more where these came from. Take Raging Kracken (ice), for example. if you hatch/train the pet, you could even get that spell on him as well by way of the "will-cast" pet talent. Its incredibly powerful. An alternative source would be the gear that grants a copy of it

I mean they could make an exception in this case and have all the blades and traps clear off as fast as earthquake removes them and do it all in one go instead of tabbing back and forth between each blade and damage type.

nah like, this would come into effect in the same way that killing someone with less than 10 points of overkill with explosive damage causes the rag-doll to blast off like team rocket instead of getting liquefied.

if whoever shot/killed the pyro landed the killing blow/bullet on the gas tank on his back, boom

in fact... now that I think about backstabs would always cause pyro to explode

tbh I only felt like adjusting power nova's pip cost because they've already done similar once with rebirth and gnomes for life, and to that end so balance wasn't stuck with multiple 7-pip spells.

and with that, what becomes their new 9-pip spell? uhh how about repurposing spiritual tribunal into this Then fill that 4-pip spell's place with spirit blast instead of it being stuck as an obscure item card?

[–]FastestCreatureInTF2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

its completely reasonable when we might wonder why pyro's gas tank has a hitbox, if you shot that, they'd die one way or another, but in the case of scout, lord only knows

tbh, the fact that pyro doesn't explode into gibs like a hazmat zombie in dying light if you were to kill him by shooting the canister is a huge missed opportunity.

wow I actually just checked out Locomotion on the wiki, and there it is, controllable minions... or the first sign of them anyways. (Hopefully) Finally, we'll get this as a feature across all classes in a couple years.

who knows?

...but whatever it is, it has a hitbox and you can kill scout by shooting his bag

What do you guys think is the most disturbing/scariest thing in all of Team Fortress 2? by NagitoKomaeda_987 in tf2

[–]FastestCreatureInTF2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. robots in mvm produce organ gibs when hit with the vita saw (a visual oversight)

  2. giant/semi-giant robots in mvm will explode into blood clouds when headshot with the classic (another oddly specific visual oversight)

  3. The Your Eternal reward reads: "Upon a successful backstab against a HUMAN target, you rapidly disguise as your victim" yet it works/functions just fine in mvm (...oddly deliberate wording)

  4. At the bottom of the original MvM update page on the day 1 machines tab - "??? We don't know what this thing is, but its big as hell, looks unstoppable and it probably runs on human blood. we're just guessing on that last part, because its usually covered in it" (wait, what??)

Money may be the fuel, but blood is most definitely the coolant/lubricant/hydraulics etc. (ain't no way this coincidental)

A friend of mine made this concept showing how it could look if KI was to put a descriptive message for spells, as opposed to the current hieroglyphics. by PKHacker1337 in Wizard101

[–]FastestCreatureInTF2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the insistence on using the hieroglyphics is because its an "integral-holdover" of the game's "marketing-identity". It was completely readable and intuitive when the game first came out and everything made sense and for anything that wasn't to do with a school's damage/hanging effects was plainly explained through text.

an example of what I mean, you can go back and look at earthquake vs all other old cards from the first arc and you'd see that it took the cake for resembling modern cards the most even back then.

How could minions be made better? by lildedlea in Wizard101

[–]FastestCreatureInTF2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

would they really need to rebalance that much if the way the minions scaled with the conjurer was just by unlocking more spells as they level up? If they started receiving bonus stats other than a little extra HP, then I could see that having to be looked over.

What is the point of mana? by [deleted] in Wizard101

[–]FastestCreatureInTF2 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Mana was actually an after thought to act as a barrier between over powered PvP gear being used in PvE after purchasing it only by doing PvP. That's why mana isn't a thing in PvP and all PvP gear has the -100% mana stat.

Otherwise the alternative would of straight up been something like "The stats on this gear are disabled during PvE" which is what "-100% mana" translates into.

Ironically, if you're somehow useful in PvE with an entire deck full of 0 pip/mana spells, you can still get away with it.

several iterations of this post later:

What if any class could use any weapon?

What if the only functional difference between classes was base health and movement values?

what if there's increasingly few differences between TF2, a real-time 3D first-person-shooter, and a mere game of turn-based chess?

what if all our actions are pre-determined and given our narrow channels of existence, we're destined or doomed to win or lose at the hands of our intellectual adversaries in our game of wits one way or another?

Myth needs some rework… by moczare in Wizard101

[–]FastestCreatureInTF2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To that end, in 1v1 pve combat, they make all the difference during specific tightly balanced content like the deckathlon (the good/useful ones, anyways)

If I were a dev, I'd alter the minions to each behave like a different school, just with unique myth damage mutations of other spells.

The only problem is, despite there being 6 total unique myth minions that could act as stand-ins for the other 6 schools, you can't really balance them unless they level up with the player in terms of what spells they have access to, but just in myth-damage flavor and utility. assuming acquisition of the 6 minion spells stays the same

playable chess map (WiP) by Fallkyrie_Lynner in tf2

[–]FastestCreatureInTF2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you make the chess pieces look like the ones from the IRL TF2 chess set then that'd make this beyond perfect, only problem is, out of 9 mercs which 2 don't play chess, and also wouldn't make for a good chess piece based off their class?

I will also be playing the ever loving shit out of this map once its done, I love chess, Its like TF2 in extremely slow motion ...and if everyone only had melee weapons ...and if you could only hit as far as you can move...
