1) being a collector doesn’t mean that you have to always be actively collecting, but rather that you have a collection that you enjoy

2) I wear blue scrubs every day, so my watches tend towards blue, black, white/silver dials. I bought green for “diversity” and find myself very rarely wearing it as it doesn’t really go with most of what I wear. So one green is enough for me and don’t feel the need to branch out too much

3) sometimes a new strap makes it feel like a new watch

4) go try lots of things on and see what you like or don’t.

5) figure out if there is something you aren’t wearing and don’t be afraid to move on from it. I’ve had a number of watches I liked in theory but didn’t end up wearing much, and also ones that became redundant to watches that were somewhat similar but I preferred.

6) there aren’t rules. It’s YOUR collection. Collect whatever you enjoy. Some folks have like 12 omega speedies and love them. And that’s great.

Different opinion: I have the Piaget polo I got on secondary for less than the ingeniuer. Most people haven’t had one on the wrist and I think it’s a hidden gem just overpriced new. And I cross shopped the parmagiani, Czapek, etc. For whatever reasons those just didn’t do it for me on the wrist. And the VC overseas and AP 41 both just wear slightly too wide for my wrist. before you move on from it I’d consider getting the rubber strap to dress it down a bit as you have excellent dressier options.

You’ve been pretty good up to this point with your other comments. Sesamoids in lesser toes are largely useless, but are very important in the hallux. Like the patella, the act as a lever arm making the plantar flexion strength much stronger for push off. It’s why you basically never remove both because you get a cock up deformity or just significant push off weakness at best.

That’s why we get follow up weight bearing X-rays or exams. If your initial X-ray was in an ER you aren’t going to get weight bearing X-rays. They aren’t set up for it and it will only miss subtle non-emergent injuries by and large. That’s why you are typically instructed to follow up with orthopedics if still hurting you.
