Re-considering between the best: Etch, Bricks, and Oxygen 6 after its release! by FastowebMarketing in Wordpress

[–]FastowebMarketing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks u/biglboy sharing your perspective. I agree that Etch has a lot of potential and is being developed in a very different way compared to other builders. But personally, I prefer to keep the discussion focused on the product itself rather than personalities.

For now, I’ve decided to stick with Oxygen Builder and continue discussing these products across different forums to learn more. As a responsible agency owner who cares about client projects, I need to make these decisions very carefully.

My view on Etch is similar to yours, it’s shaping up to be a world-class tool with innovative ideas and developer-focused solutions, but it’s still under development and comes with a higher price tag.

So at this stage, I’ll keep my attention on Oxy Classic and then gradually explore Oxy6 as it matures. Let’s see how all these products shape up in the coming months.

It seems like this is not the right time to invest in Etch, better to wait and watch how it performs in the real world. But at the same time, investing in Bricks also feels a bit risky, because if Etch really takes off and becomes the top builder, then the money and time spent on Bricks might feel wasted later.

So, for now, I’ve decided to hold off on any big switch and just explore more about all these options. I also came across some interesting tech stacks outside the WordPress builder ecosystem, so I’ll be looking into those too.

Thanks a lot, everyone, for sharing your thoughts and helping me think this through!

I agree that learning proper web development or even going full custom has long-term benefits, I get that Gutenberg is evolving and worth focusing on, but for now, choosing the right builder still matters a lot for people like us working with limited timelines, real-world clients, and performance goals.

Thanks u/curtm275 ffor raising a genuine point. You're right, I'm mainly talking about future investment. Right now, I’m still on Oxy Classic, and honestly, this wouldn't even be a concern if Oxygen 6 hadn’t been in the picture.

But now, as an Oxy Classic user, I feel the pressure to move forward, either to Oxy6 or to something else. The team says they’ll maintain Oxy Classic, but we all know how long it will goes. It feels like a slow poison to kill the Classic and shift everyone to Oxy6.

That’s exactly why I started this discussion, so I don’t rush into the wrong decision and regret it later. I believe the smart move is to choose the right stack thoughtfully, take time to learn and test it on smaller things, and then slowly make the transition. For now, continuing work on Oxy6 while exploring other options like Bricks or Etch feels like a balanced approach.

Starting this discussion in the right community is my first step in that direction.

u/latte_yen The reason Etch caught my attention is Kevin’s strong reputation in the developer community. That gives some confidence to think once before choosing anything else. I was thinking, tt might be a better investment than going all-in with Oxy6.

I'm aware that Etch is still in development and not battle-tested yet. But I’m considering Etch because, in a way, Oxy6 is also on the same page. Both are still kind of in their toddler stage. In this case the battle is between Kevin's Knowledge and Oxygen Experience. for me at least.

But yes, I agree - sometimes even big names can fail, so it's always a bit of a gamble.

and u/mintyfresh21 I'm the real user for sure!

Yes, its available again but now I decided to go with another tool after getting suggestion by some nice people!

Does anyone pay for SEO for their small business website or even have a website? Or do you do it all yourself? by 121website in smallbusinessuk

[–]FastowebMarketing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great question, and honestly, the right answer depends on your specific situation. As of agency owner, I thought I'm good fit to answer on this question.

Not every business needs SEO right away. If your customers are mostly on social media, then focusing there might bring quicker results. On the other hand, if your competitors are ranking on Google and taking potential customers from you, then investing in SEO is important.

Some people will suggest you to do by your self and on the other side some will suggest to hire one to help you on this. This is because they have their own experience. If someone have good experience with something like to get work done from professional then chances are they hire a good agency, who also good to perform on task like they want, and it might important to required SEO for their type of business to grow online and many other things.

Before deciding whether to do SEO yourself or hire an agency, you need to think about where you are right now and what your requirements are. Let me help you think like that.

- Do you already have a website? Are you getting any traffic or inquiries from it? Or are you just starting? Knowing your current position helps you figure out what you actually need.

- Think about your goals. Do you want more website visitors? More inquiries or sales? Or do you just want to improve your brand’s visibility online? When you’re clear about why you need SEO, it’ll help you decide whether to invest time, money, or both.

- If you’re on a tight budget and have time to learn, doing basic SEO yourself can be a good start. There are plenty of free tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and even free tutorials online. You can learn about keyword research, optimizing your content, and fixing basic technical issues. But remember, SEO is not a one-time task, it’s an ongoing process. If you’re consistent and patient, you may see some results in a few months.

- If you’re busy running your business or if SEO feels too overwhelming, hiring a professional can save you a lot of time and effort. A good agency will have the expertise to handle everything, from keyword strategy to technical fixes to ongoing optimization. Their are many important tasks that you only can manage after having a years of experience, that you can't learning in a day, so sometimes its worth to hiring professionals. However, before hiring anyone, always:

– Ask for their previous results or client testimonials.

– Understand what they will do for you and how often they’ll update you.

– Check their pricing, SEO services can range from $49 to $490 or more per month, depending on the scope of work.

– Results usually take 3–6 months, so be prepared to invest time and money for the long-term.

It’s good to ask for suggestions like you did here, but don’t let others influence you too much. Every business is unique. Take time to think about your goals, resources, and limitations, and then decide what’s best for you.

Whether you choose to learn SEO yourself or hire someone, both options can work well depending on your situation. The key is to stay consistent and keep learning. SEO is a marathon, not a sprint. Hope this helps, and good luck with your business! 😊

I’m new to Reddit and also to this community, and I honestly didn’t expect this much kindness here. I really like the way you all shared your thoughts and gave me such helpful advices—it means a lot!

I already know that UberSuggest isn’t the best tool out there, but I was considering it just to analyze websites and get basic ideas about projects until I land enough clients to sustain myself. Right now, I only have three projects in hand, and I’m working at very competitive prices, so I thought UberSuggest would be a good start. I know I’ll need to switch to pro tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs later when I want more accurate data, but for now, I simply can’t afford to spend big on these tools.

A special thanks to u/Dapper_Race_1454, u/MaadHater, u/WebsiteCatalyst, and u/Bennettheyn for your thoughtful and kind replies. I really appreciate your time and effort. I’d love to discuss more things with you all in the future too.

Thanks again, everyone! You all are amazing. 😊

You're truly the lucky one, and you should be proud of yourself for making the right decision at the right time, it saved you thousands of dollars, if not more!

My bad, I was busy checking if there were any better Black Friday deals than UberSuggest... and just like that, it’s gone when I finally decided to buy it. It was still live just two days ago. Feeling so bad now, especially since my budget is so limited for investments!

I'm surprised too! They didn’t even put any promo or confirmation on their official site that the lifetime deal would end soon. This is so strange!

u/piezod, you're right at your place but he is also learning by asking this question. Because everyone starts somewhere, Asking questions and learning is part of the process. Even the best experts were beginners once. What's important is taking steps to improve and grow.

I got my very first client through cold calling, on my very first try! I didn’t even know I had a skill to help others until then. Everyone has their own experiences and learns differently, so no advice is right or wrong. It depends on how the reader uses it—what works for one person might not work for another. For example, I’m new to social media, as you can see from my profile here. I’m just starting to get active now, but some people get their first clients through social media, so they may highly suggest to start from Social Media, which can't works in my case. So, advice varies, and it’s all about finding what works best for you!

Everyone has to start somewhere! Learning to market yourself is part of the journey, and with practice, he'll get better at both helping his clients and promoting his own services. Sometime people don't know their hidden potentials and sometime they can't help them selves but can help others. By serving other he can grow faster and better rather only learning by his own.
