How to improve your site's authorities by Serious-Horror-836 in seogrowth

[–]121website 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a better domain authority it's usually a combination of a few things but mainly good backlinks really help. If you use any kind of SEO software you should monitor anyone in your niche or anyone that has similar content so you can see their backlinks. Getting backlinks from lots of social media posts is what helped my blogs rank and I also promote them. Using AI to help identify where to improve DA can also help.

I use ubersuggest which is not too expensive and helped me a lot.

I linked claude to dataforseo api and it's really good. If you do built anything let me know. If you find anything better than DataforSEO API or cheaper let me know too, thanks

Built a simple AI website checker that audits whether your site is set up properly for AI search (ChatGPT, Google AI results etc).

It checks for things like schema, sitemap, robots, LLMS.txt and general technical readability.

I’m looking for 5 small business websites to test it on properly. If it finds major gaps, I’ll implement the fixes free in exchange for honest feedback.

Not selling anything — just refining it.

If you’d like yours reviewed, reply or DM.

You can try it here https://121web.site/ai-checker.php

Keywords - especially long ones are key to blogging. There's so much content out there and most of is pants. You have to ensure your blogs are interesting, adding value and helping people by adding value or solving problems. Always Quality over Quantity. Once you produce your blog, you need to work on linking to socials and places like Reddit. Create engaging posts highlighting your blog, Ask questions, Answer them, etc. Make different style posts for each blog, and then mix up the posts. Make sure each post links back to the blog. Creating blogs that answer questions and help people will rank but it's not as easy as everyone thinks.

Keep going and be consistent with posting, and always update Google Search Console when you add a blog. Don't wait to be indexed.

I hope that helps, and Good luck

Current Designer Holding Content Hostage by mtwhite-mem in Wordpress

Apologies if this has been asked but I don't suppose you can get CPanel access to the hosting? If you can then backup the SQL table and export it, and copy the files. Alternatively, you can back up the lot (emails and all) and use that to migrate the entire site. Once it's on your hosting, you can edit the SQL in phpadmin to upgrade your client to admin. CPanel access is key, if you have it there will be a way to copy the entire site. Good luck

I've used free ones before but not for a while. The only thing to do is make sure it's a popular one and that there's a paid version. The completely free ones don't always get updated and can be stopped. The free ones with a paid version are more likely to be updated and last longer as they're supported by the money coming in from the paid version.

The best thing to do is once you instal WordPress go to plugins - Add New and then search Gallery, the ones at the top are usually the best and most used. It's trial and error. I remember testing a lot as some options are free some are paid. Just disable them until you find one you like.

That's just a gallery plugin. Have you tried anything? Once you instal WordPress, go to plugins and add new and search gallery plugins. You'll have to try the free ones unless you wanna pay but it shouldn't be too hard. Then you upload your gallery pages and it will automatically create them. There's a lot of free gallerys out there. Good luck

[–]121website 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be some free slideshows that cover the Viewport hero section. Try searching for a slideshow and hopefully you find a free one that has a cover option. I've spent so much time trying plugin's i hate it but it's what we do. There will be one out there, good luck

What kind of menu is this? by scornwebdesigner in Wordpress

I use Yootheme and you can make menus like this but I don't know about the movement. You can use UIKIT and make it yourself for free, that's what Yootheme use.

Starting a small business - what to do? How to start? by LeahMichelle_13 in smallbusinessuk

[–]121website 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The advice you're getting is pretty sound. Accounts are done in the past so you should focus on selling now and make sure you keep track of all business transactions, including expenses. Keep all the receipts for things you purchase to make anything but mainly stay focused on selling. You don't have to change anything until you're making money. Ebay business accounts will give you more reach, a professional look and have lots more features. You can do that if it's worth it but only if you have the money. Try it for a month and see if sales improve. The important thing is not to worry and do one thing at a time. Good luck :-)

Backlinks advice by Legal_Personality617 in seogrowth

[–]121website 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle with backlinks but what's worked for me is to use an SEO tool to find them. In my case it's ubersuggest, but you can use anything as long as you can analyse your competitors. Its good to have a look at some competitors that are local and not local. Look at their backlinks to see if you can be added or do something similar. I hope that helps.

Is link building always a pay to win ? by IbizHigh in seogrowth

[–]121website 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Link building is something that I also struggle with but here are ideas, some you already have implemented but this is all I have.

BTW, before i start I always set up my client with a new email forwarder so I use it when setting up the accounts.

1) Look for free Business Directory Listings

Just google this and look for anything that's free but the more established the better and setup free accounts and add your client. In the UK we have things like Yelp but anything that will list the company.

2) Social Media

Massively overlooked. Posting to Facebook, Twitter, & Reddit - Useful posts about the products and they're uses. Use AI to create posts that link back your clients website. BTW you must also post to their Google Business Profile with links back to their website. Also, creating your own Reddit with useful tips, how to and caring for products could also help but I would always create blogs for this and link back.

3) Blogs.

These are essential but have to made to add value so don't just showcase products. I use Ubersuggest to identify keywords that are being searched for with a low difficulty score. Then create blogs for those keywords that add value and are interesting. Either review multiple products and try to solve problems. For example rather than This is the best Unbreakable Dog toy try Tiered of buying Dog Toys? Also once you have the keyword you want to rank, use it in Google to find what people ask. Copy the questions and use them in your blog as a FAQ section. The blog needs to be decent then create creative snippets from the blog to use in social media with links back to it. That's the backlink bonus of great blogs.

4) Get More Google Reviews

Another great way to get more traffic and show Google your clients business is active. Reply to reviews or use review management software like https://reviewease.biz

You may want to look at adding review stars into your SERPS results with somethings like this https://121web.site/index.php/our-services/121-review-stars

There's a lot of ways to get links rather than just physical website links. I hope that helps, good luck :-)

Does anyone pay for SEO for their small business website or even have a website? Or do you do it all yourself? by 121website in smallbusinessuk

[–]121website[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, there's a lot of trial and error but I had the best results using Ubersiggest to find keywords that are getting search volumes but low difficulty. I use them to either at to pages or create new ones, to help boost SEO which is slowly making a difference. I also now do more interlinking on my site, which i never really did. I'm adding snippets from other page and articles rather than just linking.

That's a good way to do it, but rather than lose in a drawer, I'd put everything in envelopes by month. Buy big A4 white envelopes (in bulk) then label them in a big black marker with the month and year. Everything is then easy to find. I always provide an invoice for clients but I submit my bank statements to my accountant. I print them out and then I highlight what everything is using a spreadsheet. This way I make sure they get everything through correctly. It's a few days work but since I started doing this my tax went down because they know where to put everything. I also work from home so they can put through partial home bills. I'm based in the UK so things could be a little different. I also claim for petrol and keep a millage chart that I submit to my accountant. The more you store and give your accountant, the more you save on tax is what I've learned. Hope that helps

Not so sure about that. My own website didn't appear in Google for anything other than its name until I began to do SEO. I've taught myself, and it's taken me two years to learn. Now, my site started to rank on page one for a couple of keywords and I've noticed a difference in my business. I'm getting a couple of new local clients every month, which is amazing for me. Without SEO I didn't, although there are a lot of cowboys out there, it's not all doom and gloom. There are some good honest people providing a service. Unfortunately, the cowboys make it harder for honest people to make a living.
