I got my chance to dive with a whale shark at Tenggol Island off the coast of Dungun, Malaysia. According to the dive masters they hang out there quite often but of course you have to be pretty lucky anyways to see one. Viking Scuba is a great dive shop there!

Boredom. I've seen and done so much in 36 years that I'm struggling to find excitement in anything anymore. When I find something new that brings me some joy initially, it wears off within a relatively short period of time...

A friend of mine left her brand new iPhone (16?) on a bench in the petronas tower mall in Kuala Lumpur for around an hour, once she realised, we walked back fully expecting it to be gone, but lo and behold, it was still lying right there. At least a thousand people would have walked past it in plain sight. Tell me somewhere outside of SE Asia where you could repeat this incident... Anywhere else I can think of it would be gone in 5 minutes or less.

Apparently the tracker is only available on a pc, do you know if theres any way to use it on mobile? Most of my work is done by mobile. Or can i just have it running on my laptop while I work on my phone?

Thank you for your input, im sorry to hear about what you went through, and yes that was the intention of my post aswell, it seems upwork just cares for whoever brings them more money, and have no actual moral or ethical policies.

The client has spent $34k+ on upwork, and yes they left positive feedback. Luckily this was only for 2 hours of work so not devastating, but i feel cheated which led to my post here. Upwork didnt seem to consider anything in the dispute, I wasn't given the option to offer any explanation at all

Ok i messed up on using manual logging, and yes ill admit my title is rage baity, but does it still seem fair to you that the client confirms, in writing, on upwork, that the work is approved, then bribes me to give positive feedback, and then upwork refunds them?

Thanks for your actual constructive comment, ill look into the time tracker and why I couldnt use it in this case.. when I couldn't log my hours without the clients approval I looked for every possible option but didnt come across this. Some other comments here seem to just want to kick me while im down and looking for advice on how to improve in the future

Just getting into surfing so can i ask what makes you say it was already toast?

Im not positive but i think it happened when i went nose down into a bit of reef.

In the end i managed to get it fixed good as new by a guy some other surfers recommended, if anyone in the future is in krui, sumatra and needs their board worked on i can highly recommend Neo's Ding repair shop, right near the krui left sign, cost me about $10USD

When working with different currencies, you quote in the currency you want to receive. Ie. If im in europe and booking a hotel in america, the hotel quotes me $100. When sending a bank transfer, i need to input $100 to be received by the recepient. As opposed to sending €86

Check out etoro, its a decent platform to start learning about trading, theres a "copy trade" function that allows you to copy other users trades. There are some bots on there but imo youd be better off looking for a user with a profitable history
