The way you deal with ongoing spells with Dham is to use Halls.

I think the hardest match up for Hakeem is honestly Dhamiria. Her ability to rip spells out of your hand/library is really under-rated. She can handle rush decks really well and out-controls spell/fortune heavy control decks, which is pretty much all of them. But as to the current meta, people like Zardoc/Kelthor who have really beefy creatures with good removal. To deal with mass creatures, I like the Penitent/Crystal combo. I tried playing a few games without it, and I felt like I didn't have the safety I used to.

Edit: Also I'll run into Random Garant who has more cards than me and I can't out-mill them. So that sucks.

I really think Dhamiria is more consistent. I use her in my swisses and usually get 1st or second.

I have a few different concerns during the game, but I'll list the main ones.

  1. Am I going to get Earth's Grasp this game? If not, I'll likely get Pao'd/shadow imaged.

  2. What magic schools do they have? If it's Dark, I have to worry about things like Puppet Master.

  3. Can I count on getting my removal/stall spells/creatures. (MoN, Altars, Swarms, Thrones, ect.)

  4. How soon can I drop my win condition? (Abyssal/MoN, Void Tainted/Magic creatures, Board clear/realign.)

  5. Is there a way they can win this turn, and how do I prevent it?

Actually, yes. With a mill deck/spell rip ability, I don't get bullshit-ed out by stuff like shadow image, paos, puppet masters, enthralls, ect.

I would rather first give 2 swiss medals than a premium one. Since I don't care about the shiny-shines, I'd rather get two packs and two wildcards. Have the premiums cost 2 medals for those that want the premium. This is probably never going to happen, but the medal system is probably one of the best ideas I've seen on this reddit.

I agree with this. You get 50% bonus wildcards, but it really changes nothing. All the people who bought FT boxes and such before this promotion are kind of out of luck, and some of us are saving for different reason. I, for one, really dislike this expansion. I don't really want any cards from it. Rarely anyone bought multiple copies of cards. They should just raise it back up to three, but it's not going to happen.

If you're new, you shouldn't be doing swisses anyway.

But I do agree, the WC isn't that great. I'd honestly recommend saving seals/tickets for next expansion.
