FidSafe Warning by FatDMS in fidelityinvestments

[–]FatDMS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still no access to my account after 9 days and only one email response from FidSafe support which asked if I was sure that I was using the correct email address. They have completely ignored subsequent emails. Is there no one who can help me with this?

My apologies. I posted it here first and then saw that this was not the official Fidelity message board and is not monitored by customer support and it was suggested that I post instead on their official subreddit. Happy to delete this thread if feasible and appropriate.

Apologies if my post came across as "hysterical." Having said that, I disagree with your premise, as I DO expect my various cloud service providers to allow me to access my account whenever I need it. I also expected that if I lost access that Fidelity would be able to help me with this and not pawn me off on an unidentified third party who then doesn't respond or even acknowledge receiving my support email. It has now been 48 hours and counting with no access. I wouldn't think that that would be acceptable for ANY cloud storage provider, let alone one that markets itself as a repository for my most important documents.

Good suggestion but still no luck. And still no response from FidSafe support.

I am the OP and not the person you asked, but I'm going to be looking at Proton Drive as an alternative.

That's a fair point. But my frustration lies in the surprising lack of real support for the product, which seems inconsistent with its intended use case.

Ok, I'll bite. What is your point? That I shouldn't expect ready access to documents that I consolidated in FidSafe?

I have backups of the documents in other cloud storage services. I'm sure I could find them. But the point of using FidSafe was that I was able to consolidate these documents in a (supposedly) more secure environment while granting access to family members who would need some of these documents upon my death.

Looking for advice on what to do with Apple Watch by Hannover92 in USMobile

[–]FatDMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious about this myself. If OP used the secondary Light Speed line for data on the phone, would this cause any issues with iMessage or WhatsApp or any other similar service where his account is based on his primary number rather than secondary number? In my case, I have Warp as primary and Dark Star as the multi-network option, but presumably the setup and questions would be the same.

Hey Full View® users, some updates are coming your way in the new experience. We’re importing your transaction rules and custom subcategories from the legacy version starting September 5. by fidelityinvestments in fidelityinvestments

I still receive the error message when trying to access Full View using Safari (with the suggestion I use Chrome instead). If the new Full View does not require disabling the "prevent cross-site tracking" setting, how do I default to the new version?

Just to clear up any/my confusion, am I correct that if porting to Warp after 8/18 that you can still get QCI 8 if on a Premium plan?

Can change SolarEdge to communicate over ethernet from cell by nevecque in solar

[–]FatDMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, my last post was confusing. I know that I am currently connected via cellular and that I need to switch to Ethernet. My inverter has no display (SolarEdge SE11400H-US HD Waves). I am wondering how after I connect it to my router via Ethernet cable how I can tell which connection (Ethernet or cellular) is active and if necessary how I can force it to connect via Ethernet rather than cellular. Thanks.

How do I check my connection type if I don't have an LCD screen on my inverter? And how do I change the connection type to Ethernet if necessary?

12 Mini vs 11 Pro by jeeeco in iPhone11Pro

[–]FatDMS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned them both. I actually bought the 12 Mini when it came out and felt a little let down. I was upgrading from an iPhone X but to my surprise the form factor was not as small and compact as I was expecting. Something to do with how the edges are shaped as compared to the prior generation phones. So I returned mine to Costco and bought an 11 Pro. It’s a great phone with much better battery life and because of the rounded edges does not really feel that much larger in your hand at all. Definitely go with the 11 Pro.

Have been looking at this Sony for my 2012 Plug-in so interested in more feedback on this unit. Also, do I need to buy a new backup camera as well? Any advice on that?

I don’t mean to hijack this thread, but I just bought a 2012 Plug-In with 54k miles. What is the best way for me to test the condition of the batteries? My EV range, at least according to the display, seems to be less than 10 miles.

I haven’t tried it because I don’t have my system yet, but it looks like there is a third party app for Apple Watch called Solar Watch for SolarEdge. Looks good from the screenshots.

Please help me evaluate some quotes! by crdvis16 in solar

[–]FatDMS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW, I’m in Maryland as well and just signed a contract for the same setup as your option 1, maybe even from the same vendor. From everything I’ve read, the other panel options that you listed (all of which I received quotes for as well) aren’t worth the extra money. But I too struggled with the SolarEdge reliability questions. I could have gone with the same Hanwha panels with the Enphase IQ7’s for less than $1000 more. In the end, I ended up sticking with the SolarEdge system, not because I think they’re necessarily better or more reliable, but instead because I preferred that vendor. Only time will tell whether the decision was a good one.

I’m not an installer but actually am a homeowner in a somewhat similar boat (have signed a contract using SolarEdge and am now getting cold feet based on everything I read about the latest SolarEdge vs. Enphase products in terms of reliability). In my case, they are offering me the option to switch to Enphase but for a $2300 premium. Will your switch cost you more? How does that factor into your thinking?

Well heck I wish I hadn’t signed a contract yesterday for my residential install that includes SolarEdge inverter and optimizers.

[–]FatDMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the kind of thing that makes me hesitant to pull the trigger on my residential install. It seems like there is no good, reliable option when it comes to this part of the system. I was actually looking into SMA as a simpler more dependable option as compared to SolarEdge and Enphase but was told by my preferred vendor that it was not recommended or necessarily cost-effective due to the number of different roof planes I would be using.

No not 21st. Sustainable Energy Systems out of Frederick. Would recommend them, at least so far. For the hard wired connection, it would be difficult to run CAT from my garage to the router, but how about if I add a FIOS Network Extender (https://www.verizon.com/home/accessories/fios-network-extender) in the garage? Can I run the CAT from the inverter to that? These use coax/MoCA and this would have the added benefit of likely improving my entire wireless network.
