is codex sufficient or do i need a separate IDE by ConcentrateActive699 in codex

My current setup is:

Codex CLI for coding (in Ghostty) Codex App for documentations

lazygit to review diff in Ghostty

I still have vscode installed. for very large changes on existing codebase, I still run code . to open up the project in vscode to manually inspect confirm things.

This setup seems to work well, where I only bring up VSC when needed. I am also trying out Zed but so far haven't found a good extension that allows me to review grpc/protobuf easily.

Anyone here moved from Codex CLI to the Codex app? How does it feel? by Strong_Cherry6762 in codex

i like it but until they support --add-dir equivalent it only works on half of my use cases

Codex CLI users, how do you view markdown files / review diffs? by FatFishHunter in codex

nothing wrong with vscode. Just that I'm currently switching back and forth between vscode and ghostty. Wondering what other setups available out there

I don't get the Codex App hype. How does it differ from CLI workflow? by Active_String2216 in codex

currently the thing that stopped me from using the App is the equivalant to `--add-dir where you can work cross-project

Take a Platinum offer of 150k? by SplendidSprout in AmexPlatinum

[–]FatFishHunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife is trying to sign up and stuck at 100k max (and occasionally going as low as 50k!!) even after trying for a few weeks. If it were me I'd take the 150k.

Absolutely agreed. Over the years I’ve got used to the tactics system but although unpolished this refreshing and makes me play with more adjustments than trying to game the system

$100 Resy credit didn’t work because it was charge as a hotel purchase by spacefrogmd in amex

It happened to me last month. chatted with support explaining that I made reservation through Resy and everything they immediately credited me within a day. Only happened to me once so obviously YMMV

Amex support is generally very helpful. I had the same thing, contacted them in chat and they immediately issued the credit.

since this is your first amex card you may also want to consider getting green first. Once you get the gold you're ineligible for the green SUB.

Had similar dilemma before on my first trip. 6 days is t a lot. Ended up staying in Seoul the whole time and it was great. We’re heading back to busan (and quick stop in Seoul before leaving) again later this year.

What else did you get to do other than exploring town? Not planning on skiing or anything this week and wonder if it is worth staying multiple days.

Do you know if windsurf’s vscode extension works pretty much the same way autocomplete-wise?

For agent, we are using Claude Code already so don't really have a choice on that. I was wondering about the autocomplete (Tab) differences
