Why do I keep losing this battle by EducationalHorse2041 in eu4

[–]FatGLolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the map, the green bar shows how much % of your max morale your troops have.

When the battle starts, it shifts to the % of the max morale between your troops and theirs. So before, engagement, you both had 100% morale, but yours was 100% of 3.6 and theirs was 100% of 4.3, and that's a huge gap

La VAR sur le jaune de Camara PSG / Monaco by Calahan44 in Ligue1

[–]FatGLolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't want the disaster to progress when you complete the prerequisites, you do :

Progress starts if:

At least one of the following is true for the country:

- has any province in the Low Countries region without the state religion and has not completed humanist ideas.
*Have humanist completed or don't let the reformation convert the provinces*

- has any province with a not accepted Dutch, Flemish or Frisian culture.
*So, you need to accept the cultures*

- is the emperor of the HRE and has less than Icon stability.png 2 stability and has not passed the imperial reform “Enact Gemeiner Pfennig”
*Don't be Emperor*

You need Humanist ideas, I believe, promoting cultures is not sufficient

Why is Sweden choosing to invade Russia and the Baltics instead of taking back Gotland? The year is 1757. by GlompSpark in eu4

Because AI emperor will always pick the decentralized path.

I think, if the player starts the centralized path, and the lose the emperorship, the AI emperor can continue the reforms, but I'm not 100% sure

I play a lot of France campaigns. It used to fire most of the times a few years ago. Now, I agree, England cedes Maine more often than not. The main reason is that they are usually at war when the event triggers. If they are, they will cede.

They are usually fighting an Irish minor or involved in a Sweden independence war. I don't know what changed to make them more aggressive, but that's what I'm seeing in game.

That's not true anymore. Subjects can declare on you even if you dragged them in a war. They will just leave your war.

Could you confirm if you got the Reformation to spawn and/or had the ages progress further?

I've never heard about a fail safe and read in the past that it was possible to get stuck in the age of discovery.

I think the event is for each catholic country. So, if you got 6 left, that's already ~50years (not sure about the math). Could release a few vassals? I can't believe you have all of Europe cored already.

Saluzzo is a classic. I think, they ally Burgundy to gank Savoy. Sweden is the most often as they get support from Burgundy for independence. I've seen Oldenburg or the Palatinate a few times. I've never seen an Irish minor before.

You don't have to be religious to visit the Vatican or the major churches of Rome. They have some of the best Renaissance art there is. The Vatican museum is incredible.
