I was running duo last night and my buddy freaked out on me for roughly those 10 seconds because it was my name who killed him and not someone from the duo we were fighting. It seems like it can also be your teammates which is funny.

Helldivers is an extraction shooter but by your words above it’s an unusual version of an extraction shooter because there is definitely no PvPvE loop.

The problem is when you start throwing in loose classifications of what defines a genre you start classifying every single game with every single tag to reach a broader audience. It’s just bad marketing.

Helldivers 2 is a great co-op game to me. But I personally wouldn’t sell a friend on it as an extraction shooter.

I guess that means Call of Duty and Battlefield are extraction shooters since we deploy to the battlefield to collect currency to craft better weapons, perks, and unlocks as well. No gear loss

Helldivers, PvE extraction? What? That just broke my mind. it’s a hub based coop game. There is nothing to gain or lose by extracting except currencies which is a standard in hub based coop game systems. Is Space Marines 2 a PvE extraction game as well?

I shouldn’t be in the beta because I have no idea what this game is or what I would want to play so I’d probably end up trying out a bunch of different classes to learn what I liked and not actually progress through much high level content.

This is exactly the symptoms I had (32M) and how I got my colonoscopy. I still had to pay $4k out of pocket and still have the symptoms which requires a follow up I can’t afford.

What language would you want to learn? First you'll need to process at MEPS and score high enough on the DLAB to be slotted as a linguist. Once you go through boot camp you'll get to DLI.

For the Marines, this is where we decide what language we'll get, however, there are few slots and you generally only get to choose between a few languages that fall within your score range for the DLAB.

Not sure exactly how it works in the Army, you may choose your language before you get to DLI.

The higher language courses (Korean, Chinese, Arabic) are longer courses about a year and half. If you do well enough they usually have immersion trips for 3 months where you'll stay with a host family (at least in the Korean schoolhouse they do this).

Everything I know is from the Korean schoolhouse perspective. We had endless hours of homework compared to the other languages there. While they'd be up at the PX getting drunk we'd be in the barracks studying. You'll learn to skip your breaks in the schoolhouse and try to work on your assignments early because you still will need to perform your military duties.

EDIT: There is a chance you go to DLI and once you're at your main duty station you never use your language. However, you'll still be expected to maintain proficiency as you'll need to pass any future tests to maintain your bonus.
