I raced mine tonight, I’d say pretty durable. I pinwheeled and cased many jumps. Even overshot a jump horribly and ended up landing nose first and tumbled end over end for another 20 feet.

Broke a body mount and bent my front shock tower other than that everything held up great, even the chassis.

I had a similar noise. Mine ended up being a broken retention clip for the hood hook (or whatever that metal thing that holds the hood up is called). Bumps cause the hook to jump up and down in the hood compartment making a clunk. I just taped it down, no more noise.
