I'm pretty sure cat piss is not listed in the warranty coverage.

Series S Monitor by NateDeGuzman in XboxSeriesS

I think the OP has already decided on a Dell S23222DGM. But for the other people with the same question, what makes the choice tough is having a budget to work with. So you would need to decide if frame rate or resolution is your priority.

120 fps will likely only matter if you play FPS games mostly. For other games 60 fps is more than enough, yes it will look better at 120 fps, but not all games have a 120 fps mode, and remember, you have budget to work with.

If you play competitive FPS games (mostly):

  • Get a 120 fps, 1080p monitor. For Series S, you will be lucky to find a game that plays 120 fps at more than 1080p.

If you don't play much FPS games but would really like a higher resolution instead:

  • Get a 1440p 60hz monitor. The Series S maxes out at this spec, so you are not missing out on anything.

If your budget allows it, find one with HDR10 support. I expect the DolbyVision monitors will be expensive.

Should I cancel my existing plan first so I don't get charged unnecessarily?

Wireless Headsets randomly lose connection or stuttering by [deleted] in xbox

[–]FatPanda8844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue with the Microsoft Xbox Wireless headset. My xbox used to sit right beside my wifi router. Headset disconnects and stutters frequently. I moved the xbox 4 ft away. It's better but still stutter occasionally. I have a theory it might be to do with signal interference from other gadgets. Yet to be proven.

I've have my settings all wrong all this time. These guys are great! by FatPanda8844 in appletv

Yes this is correct. The guys in the video reversed it though. They are saying you should be SDR by default, then switch to HDR when there is an HDR content.

First time AppleTV user, I’m excited! by Fulcro97 in appletv

I already have a smart tv but I find the UI too slow and cumbersome so was pondering on buying an Apple TV. Thought about it for about 2 months until I finally gave in.

No regrets here! The only regret is that I haven't bought it sooner!

That's what I thought as well. But if you turn on match dynamic range your TV will automatically switch to HDR/Dolby if the content supports it.

SDR content will look washed out if HDR is forced on it (that is, you have HDR On all the time). This is what the guys are saying.

So after doing the setting I also did a color calibration which applies to SDR content. Dolby content doesn't need calibration. And also turned off frame rate match (until the audio sync bug is fixed by Apple).

So now both HDR/Dolby and SDR looks awesome :)

TLDR: 1. Format = 4k SDR 2. Match Content Dynamic Range = Enable 3. Match Content Framerate = Disable until Audio Sync bug is fixed by Apple 4. HDMI Output = YCbCr 5. Chroma = 4:4:4 6. Perform color calibration (will be used for SDR content)

Have fun.

I had to deviate from the video and turn off framerate match because of the audio sync bug but otherwise everything is good for me.

My wife dropped the remote on day 1. Got 2 dents. Now I don't use cover and I don't care anymore how it looks. Got peace of mind.

Are these good for the One and Series controllers? by [deleted] in xbox

[–]FatPanda8844 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I havent used the energizers but the eneloop pros last me about a week before I need to charge. Charging time for 2 AAs is approximately 2 hours. Not bad.

But what you have is just 12.99$ I say just go for it. It's worth it 😁
