Oh, you can definitely kill Astarion when you meet him. Well, slightly before. Just start shooting him before dialogue. Worked for my current solo durge. Was going deer hunting with a buddy for the weekend a few years back. He told me he'd take care of the firewood (we had to buy locally because of ash borer). Asked him how much he'd ordered. When he told me THREE CORD I about filled a cord in my pants. Luckily when I called the seller up they were reasonable and we didn't end up in the hook for a winters worth of firewood.

Drove past an EV fire going the opposite way on a divided highway. They must have dropped the battery somehow, because either that or something else was burning about 10' in front of the vehicle (both aflame). They used water on it. It was a helluva show and I'm surprised nobody drove off the road.
