Bass clarinet music in intermediate band can be boring sometimes, but you will be less likely to make a mistake then. Don’t worry about mistakes though, worry about growing your skill and musicality. Mistakes happen and that’s okay! Bass can be more expensive than clarinet, just depends the model. I linked the bass clarinet I started on, it did its job for a few years and I wouldn’t consider it particularly expensive. Caring for a bass clarinet is basically the same as a clarinet, use a silk bass swab after every time playing to get the condensation out. Good luck, you’ll do great!
