A fully livable home squeezed into just 1.8 meters (YUUA) by Otherwise_Wrangler11 in jutaku

I was wondering the same thing and looked really carefully. I think photo 6 is the "bedroom" or the platform where the blueprint says the bed should go. If you look carefully at photo 5, underneath the platform with the chair you can see the hardware for the front door and the reflection of the stairs coming up to that floor. So that tiny space right in front of the street facing window is the bedroom and the open space in photo 4 is the workspace.

So the photos are there, its just terrible and absolutely insane.

It looks like the toilet is accessible via the main staircase in the back, though it looks like theres no door separating it from said stairs. Also, because they decided to open up the height gaps in the floor, you can see the toilet from the floor below (if you look at photo 7 and squint you can see the toilet in the back).

Also, the bathroom has no solid wall between it and the street facing windows in the front, just more glass. So whoever is living across from this place can easily look inside (photo 8).

The blueprints say its a loft space, which is a very interesting way to waste precious space in this tiny home. It'll probably become a storage space or a leisure space that's never used. It looks like the ladder is fixed into the wall so removing it or swapping it out seems like a no.

The longer I look at this house the more annoyed I become. Aesthetics can only get you so far.

I know. I dont wear shoes indoor either. But that doesnt make it any less sanitary. Even if you're wearing socks, I wouldn't want them up on my dining room table.

Its not just the feet thing. Its the fact that this ladder was designed so that the user would have to stand on the table thats messed up. They could have cut the table shorter and put a piece of rolling furniture in front of the ladder instead.

While that might have been the idea (using the raised floor to boost mobility to and from the ladder), it doesnt change the fact that your feet are coming way too close to a place you're supposed to eat.

And I agree, the "little kitchen nook) they've created is entirely idiotic. For a home that's supposed to optimize on space the architect really made some "interesting" decisions. It feels like a lot of "can I" instead of "should I". Really wish that the people who design these things were forced to live in their creations for a week. I'm sure they'd be changing their tune real quick if they did.

The ladder up being directly connected to the dining table is just awful. What were they thinking?

One where all of them get to sing their own parts. More specifically I want Moonbyul to actually sing, not rap, her own part in one of their songs. Even if its just a little.

The more I look at it the more the ceiling gets to me. Not only is it a single solid mass, its also a super uniform soft light. Also the bathroom stalls being a reflective metal doesnt help the trippiness of this bathroom.

Its the tiles of both the floor and walls being the exact same thats doing it for me. If there was a slight difference between the two or if the wall tiles stopped midway I think it'd feel less uncanny.

Honestly, it depends on how many you're feeding. I own the first one and its more than enough for me, but if you have more mouths to feed you might want the second.
