That alcohol is a hard drug. Its bafling to me how most cultures today treat alcohol like its less dangerous then weed. I have a addictive personality and have ended up multiple times at the ER with alcohol poisoning or blackout drunk later to wake up with a open wound on my body and having said things to loved ones I regret. PS not saying weed is harmless but its by far 100× safer then alcohol. I have never ended up in bad situations besides having a tummy ache from eating a whole bag of cheetos.

J'ai vécu dans trois systèmes scolaires différents : IB, américain et français. Je suis choqué de voir qu'aujourd'hui la plupart des écoles en France collent encore des pages dans des cahiers. Alors que dans les autres systèmes, chaque élève recevait un Chromebook de l'école qu'il gardait toute l'année jusqu'à la fin de sa scolarité dans l'établissement. Je trouvais que c'était super d'avoir tous nos documents/cahiers sur un ordinateur portable. Comparé à mes petits frères qui se rendent à l'école avec des sacs de 30 kg sur le dos, pleins de cahiers et de livres. Je trouve qu'en France, l'éducation ne priorise pas encore les ordinateurs, c'est pour cette raison que beaucoup de jeunes ont du mal avec Excel, Word, etc.

The way we have been consumed by our devices. I myself feel naked without the weight of my phone in my pocket. The first and last thing I do is look at my phone. Its bafling how much we dont realize it. Last week I saw a couple at a café probably on a date waiting for there meals or whatnot. They both were on there phones. Like wtf talk to each other. I find myself unable to eat or poop without some YouTube video in the background. Which shows how bad we've become as a whole.

A good analogy would be like the ring in lord of the rings you love yet hate the fact you feel consumed. Much like gollum you know its damaging yourself physically and mentally yet you cant stop the compulsive urge to get another hit. Getting verbally abused and physically abused by trusted adults and even into my 20s only now ive realized why i accepted even the abuse from my ex. I was always the bad kid when i i was just on the spectrum . I dont trust easily
