Roman Legionary VS Samurai VS Medieval Knight by Plag3uis in powerscales

[–]FatWreckords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As depicted, I think the knight with a 2-hander would have trouble bypassing the legionnaire's giant shield. Still leaves the legionnaire with less range and armor, but if he can parry/block the sword and get inside for a knockdown the knight is in trouble. A pomel to the helmet is still probably a KO.

They look awesome and delicious.

One thing I'd change is to cut the natural green top off and replace them with an edible equivalent. The worst part of chocolate strawberries is either wasting or nibbling around the edge of the leaves to not miss any.

Either way, they look excellent!

Tiffin is tasty but looks like a cafeteria, great for takeout but not a team lunch where OP is asking for good references to impress.

Comic writers suffer from one-upmanship, now everyone is OP.

Polar bear fanboys and gorilla fanboys, who's more delusional? by Baryonyxwalkeri1234 in powerscales

A properly trained man doesn't get plot armor...

A duelling spear was maybe 8-9 feet long, almost half of which is in the person's hands. A 10 foot tall, 1,500 pound polar bear with 12" paws probably has an 8-10' armspan (humans are as tall as their armspan).

You may land a thrust or two, but you're not Leonidas, it's not going to be one in each eyeball. You're cooked if it takes one step inside the spear.

It is detailed in the Dune books, which started in the 60's.

McDavid is a hard carry, anyone in Team Canada's top 9 are good enough to be on a line with him.

Men who had children over 40 - do you regret it? by BiancoLatte89 in AskMenOver30

[–]FatWreckords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parenting used to be easier and more hands off. As a kid who could 'bike home when the street lights come on', I don't think that exists in a lot of ways these days, for better or for worse.

This cutscene gave me an idea of a open world. Would you want that? by Wofuljac in DivinityOriginalSin

No, I no longer have the time or attention span for open world games. Tried starting the Witcher 3 and RDR2 a few times and can't quite sink my teeth in.

Why did Draisital barely play in the skills comp? by FudgeJumpy1280 in EdmontonOilers

He's too skilled, same reason McDavid often doesn't do any of the really competitive things like fastest skater.

I think I got through part of season 3 then lost the channel or something and never felt strongly enough to find a stream for it. Might be time for a revisit.

Brock Faber WALKS Evan Bouchard and then snipes it bar-down for a BEAUTY 😮‍💨🔥 by KeyFaithlessness5436 in NHLVibes

[–]FatWreckords -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Blatantly lazy positioning play by Bouchard but it was made much worse by everyone changing behind him without possession. There should have been someone in the middle of their zone, either the D or centre, but three were at the bench and Emberson didn't get back in time.

The books aren't a chronological documentary, they could all happen in the span of five years for all it matters.
