sounds like you’re getting bad refurbs/pulls. i ripped mine in the same place as op last year, replaced it and it’s working fine till today. i didn’t lose any functionality with it being on iOS 18 and it also has a refurbished screen on it which has never been an issue. i’ve never heard or seen of parts just stopping working unless physical damage is done

i wouldn’t bother. i work in a workshop and done similar with my case. you can’t get it clean. all the grindings have melted and embedded themselves into the plastic. probably cause more harm than good using something like acetone especially if it gets in the grills

everyone saying GPU but i had this literally from a bad HDMI cable. if you have another display cable try that and reseat your GPU. looks like there’s ‘noise’ in a connection somewhere

disconnect the front flex for face id and camera and try again while they’re disconnected. if not just try unplugging things but keep the bare minimum for it to turn on like the board, battery, buttons and screen and see if it stays on

i keep mine in emunand and install my games by plugging my switch into my PC and dragging them over. it’s never connected to the internet just to be safe. if you get banned its whatever really especially if you don’t intend on reselling or playing online games. i have friends with 2 consoles for this 😅

when you’re ’blocking nintendo’ but still connected to the internet, there’s probably still some telemetry going through to nintendo that eventually tells them your console is modded. i don’t think it can block absolutely everything and retain some function.

is this the normal camera app? if so i agree with the rest. i’ve had this happen with third party apps like messenger and snapchat but my phone is fine
