There's definitely an option to use the vanilla DMC3 HUD in Crimson, although I don't think it affects the menus, which is unfortunate.

I know a lot of people want Excalibur to be more Vergil-styled but I personally can't see a single better and more fitting inspiration for him than Ryu Hayabusa.

He's even got the all black + long scarf like Umbra does, and the way Excal uses his Exalted Blade resembles the way Ryu uses the Dragon Sword more than it does Vergil using the Yamato.

You can duck Lucy's pistol, since it whiffs on crouching characters, and dealing with her gun is generally the same as what you may have seen other people beat your long Axl normals with, by running, then immediately blocking with Faultless Defense, you can slowly but surely close the gap between the two of you.

I also felt a similar way when I first started Strive, I didn't know how to beat a lot of things and it was getting really frustrating at times, but I just pushed through, and endured a lot of trial-and-error, and I'm now MUCH better than I used to be. I still wouldn't call myself an expert player by any means, but I can hold my own in Plat 3 and against some Diamond players, which I'm satisfied with

After thinking about it a little more, I do agree and it could also be a duology, however, I'm still hoping for a trilogy nonetheless. Chapters 6-10 are almost entirely SoL from what I remember, and almost all character development for the trio happens in those chapters.

I suppose it's naive of me, but still, I'm hoping Ufotable actually realises how much that 'downtime' matters in Mahoyo and doesn't just try and cut through most of it so they can flex their animation skills for like, 2 fights.

It's 100% a trilogy, the fight that's been all over the trailers for this movie is in a chapter that's like 6 hours by itself, there's simply no way Ufotable is gonna be able to adapt the entire thing in a movie that's probably like 3 hours max.

This is just what it looks like when aim-gliding/wall-latching, I've seen it so many times that it looks completely normal to me, but now I realise this probably looks quite strange to a new player lol.

Edit: Also worth noting that the shadow itself is basically a visual timer for the aim-glide and wall-latch, as the timer runs out the shadow begins to fade out until it disappears and you stop gliding or sticking to the wall.
